PIET Panipat Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a boys’ hostel that has a capacity of about 200 boys (extendable up to 250). Hostels have Common Rooms, Gym, Badminton Courts, Volleyball grounds, and facilities for other indoor games. The hostel provides the students with daily newspapers and various magazines to make them aware of the daily happenings of the world. Well-furnished and spacious rooms are there for boys. There are cubical as well as dormitories for the students. Each room is equipped with a bed, a study table, study chair, almirah, and an easy chair.

The college hostel can house 50 girls (can be extended up to 100). Hostels have Common Rooms, Gym, Badminton Courts, Volleyball grounds, and facilities for other indoor games. The college takes extreme care of the health of the students. The institution offers a free medical facility to all students and staff. Medical facilities are provided to the staff and students through the Health Care Centre (Daycare facility) located within the campus. Our medical officer visits the OPD for a regular health check-up of the students.

The college has a gym that has installed 26 workstations equipped with globally-branded Fitline Machines. It has employed a Rebook-Certified Trainer with a view to providing to the users the best-in-class health-inducing exercises including aerobics. The provisions of world-class amenities like a cloakroom, faucet-controlled shower jets, posh wash-rooms, steam-bath, etc. add grandeur to the Gymnasium.

The college consists of a central library and also has several departmental libraries. Centralized on user services, the library makes every effort to provide an enjoyable learning environment for users. This system enables the library to open for extended hours and connects the users with Digital, Virtual Reference & Referral Services, Mobile Services, Digital Resources, Internet communications, Reprography Services, Book bank Services & Inter-Library Loan. The college runs a Book Bank intended to assist students, from the economically weaker sections of society, by giving textbooks on loan to deserving students for a whole academic semester according to the rules framed for the purpose. Journals being the primary source of information are essential to supplement the research activities and are required regularly. A number of Journals are being subscribed to facilitate the on ing research activities to expand the areas of future research activities.

The college infrastructures for sports at the college are Basketball Court, Football Ground, Volleyball court, Gym, and some indoor games, etc are the best in the region. Understanding the importance of sports for the students.

The Institute has two internet lease lines of 100 Mbps and 10 Mbps provided by Airtel. All the classrooms of the institute are equipped with DLP Projectors, CCTV cameras, and Internet connectivity. Out of all the rooms, 17 rooms are exclusively facilitated with an automated lecture capturing system which requires consistent internet bandwidth to upload the captured lectures on the cloud.

The college has an excellent cafeteria, which is as beautiful as any top-class restaurant. It is appreciable not just for its appearance, but also for the delicacies it offers. Wide ranges of food including Indian, Chinese, and Continental meals are available in the cafeteria. Special care is taken to provide hygienic food to the students. All kinds of fresh juices are also available in the cafeteria. The cafeteria is much more than a college canteen. It provides a “feel-good” environment.

The college has an Open Air Theatre with a sitting capacity of 3000 is centrally located to provide a boost to the co-curricular activities and other various cultural functions for the use of PIETians.

The Institute provides exclusive transport facilities from Delhi, Panipat, Karnal, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jind, Saffidon, Kurukshetra, and adjoining areas. It has its own fleet of AC and Deluxe Buses in the Institute.

The college has An Alumni Meet is organized to celebrate and refresh old relationships and form new ones. It is an occasion when students gather at their Alma Mater, go down memory lane, and look forward to new interactions with new hopes. The alumni are thrilled to be back on the campus of PIET again and interact with new students.

The Institute has more than 77 Wi-Fi devices to cover the entire campus. The entire computers used by students and the faculty are provided with the internet facility round the clock. The network of the whole campus and hostels are secured with the help of Newall bandwidth and traffic management and pfSense firewalls respectively.

The college has a departmental-based laboratories facility for the students.

The college facilitates student needs, the college has an in-house stationery store. The student-friendly store meets the customized needs of the various courses. The stationery also offers photocopying and printing facilities for students. All stationery items and services are made available in the stores at reasonable rates, fixed by the college management.

The college Campus is providing Automated Teller Machines (ATM) and banking facilities for the convenience of the faculty members, staff, and students to provide them access to easy money from their accounts.
