Parala Maharaj Engineering college is a state government college of Odisha affiliated to Biju Pattnaik University of Technology(To throw in some personal interest, I am graduated from the same university as well).

PMEC hires students with high general rank. However, its closing rank for computer science, electrical and electronics or civil engineering, the cutoff rank is comparatively low as compared to other courses that it offers.

To get cse, one needs to secure atleast 250000 CRL and for ece it is close to 500000 CRL . Furthermore, in Odisha there is no quota for OBC student s . OBC students are in the same domain as general category students in ODisha state government engineering colleges. Therefore, your chances of getting into PMEC with cse or ece looks kinda dismal.

Assuming that you are in general category, now if you have qualified jee mains according to the offical cutoffs given by the NTA that is 84 marks then that means you are qualified for it. Also the admission in the provided college will depend in the college cutoff which will be announced. However, cutoffs change every year depending on the no. of students, no. Of vacancies, difficulty level of the exam. So right now if you are qualified for jee mains then start revising for advance.

Yes, definitely you will get civil engineering branch in PMEC sambalpur but i will prefer you to go for IGIT SARANG. You can also get lower branches in colleges like cet or burla.

Since you have not mentioned which state and categor y you are from I will assume you to be from UR category and Orissa state.With this rank you may get admission in Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Production Engineering) probably in the second round
