PESIT is a very good college with great placements and good infrastructural facilities. Teachers here are very experienced and have great knowledge about their subjects. The college does not have very strict rules . Students can definitely enjoy their engineering life here because of a lot of extracurricular activities.

Classrooms, Library, Lab facilities, Sports & Recreational stuff , College Canteens ARE THE BEST in world. Percentage of students placed, Quality of Companies that visited the campus, Average Salary etc.depends on your luck. internships, Entrepreneurial motivation, Industry visits, Guest speakers & lectures, Events etc-noting as such. Intellectual Level and experience of faculty, teaching methodology is good but mostly egostic.

PESIT is basically little strict towards students and scoring is a bit tough initially but once we pass a semester the rest of the life is awesome inside the campus. It provides a wonderful platform for learning things. Research-oriented programs and lot of technical clubs are there to enhance learning activities. The system of education is best in India. The type of conduction of exam and syllabus is at its peak. So it's a sacred place for learning things at the end.

The college is good in terms of infrastructure and faculty. The computer science department is very good and flourishing. If you are very ambitious in life and really achieve something, then you can go to this college. As far as college life is concerned..its good but you won't be able to catch up with studies if you join any club or any other big events like "atmatrisha". Placements are also good here.

PESIT is reputed all over Bangalore for its attendance policies. 85% is a must, unless you have a genuine medical problem or you won prizes for college in extra-curricular activities. In any case below 75% is not tolerated. Thus hardly anyone bunks in this college for the fear of facing ugly consequences. Apart from attendance college also expects everyone to do exceptionally well in academics. There are 2 internals and each student is expected to score above 80% in all of them but anything around 40% is must. Failing to achieve that, you might have to write some more tests/assignments. Also, there are no options in the question papers and revaluation of answer books is strongly discouraged. So overall it’s very tough curriculum and there’s tremendous pressure on students.

100 percent placements with good salaries

The college has 100% placements for all branches. Companies like Microsoft, Yahoo and Amazon picks up a few students from the CS & IS branches. HCL, TCS and Wipro are the major recruiters for all branches. The college has such good reputation and relationships with companies like HCL that they don’t even take an interview of the candidate, straightway recruit them based on their aggregate marks. Other branches also get their core companies e.g. Volvo comes to recruit mechanical students. Average starting salary given to freshers is 4.5 lakhs while the highest package offered was 16 lakhs. Some 40 – 45 students get packages above 10 lakhs. For those who don’t wish to continue in the technical fields, finance companies like JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs also visit to pick up a handful of students. About 80% of the student take up jobs, the rest go for higher studies.

This college is “not for enjoyment, come here for achievement”. PESIT though can’t be described as a school, is a highly disciplined college at the least. You can have fun too, if you learn to handle academic pressure well and most amazing placements await you.

As the title states, the college has variety of things to offer, from academics course/project work to drama/theatrical clubs it has things to do. I was very academic in nature so did not venture out into other fields as much as others did. But some of my friends were in drama, photography clubs and they said they enjoyed it there and they did put on good show. Only one thing that lacks is the sports scene, but i guess you can't get everything in one place. From the academic point of view, it has a lot things to offer, lot of good research or teaching staff, wide variety of interdisciplinary projects and course work. So this way overall, it was a wonderful experience and very exciting to have gone through what I have gone through.

One of the best institutions for professional education, especially computer science, in Karnataka. Top notch faculty with visiting professors who are stalwarts in the respective fields. Their guidance is very valuable and experience gained by working under them is a good foundation be it if one choose's to work or pursue higher studies. It always has great placement opportunities with top companies across the world visiting during the placement season. Budding talents from across the country take up the entrance tests to try for admissions here. If you are looking into a career in sports, then this is not the place to be. If you want to make it big in the technology domain, this is the place to start off with.

While it appears to have a strict atmosphere from outside, PESIT provides a good opportunities to everyone. I enjoyed the research I had to do while taking up various projects. The kind of students that come in build up a healthy environment. Also, the college takes the placements very seriously and try to create as many jobs as possible. However, some rules are taken little too strictly and some professors are not up to the standards.

"To be true this college is very hard to get in if you are applying through KCET which is the standard way for entering into this college as this comes at first or most probably second position in Bangalore (and Karnataka), and becomes even more difficult if you are a GM candidate.second option is PESSAT and like me and my other fellows if you are not getting a good NIT and are hoping for good placement then you should try for this college. This college offers you good placement (at least good than new NIT's and equivalent private colleges) but at the same time don't expect for anything other than placements. lack of good teachers, infrastructure, good hostels, classmates (because of big Kannada set of students), will take your college life for a toss. forget anything you think you should get in a college life of a student. no fun, no drama only being yourself is this college's motto for 4 years.just think about yourself and forget the rest.everybody is kind of separate here because of usually 3 to 4 kinds of groups.(kcet-scholars(gm)+kcet sc/st/obc + diploma candidates + management + comedk) teachers here are worst than you can think.worst or maybe comparable to any state school's teachers. rest selection depends on you . want to do something else like GATE,IES or any other plan then don't come here as Bangalore lacks of good coaching institutes in these entrances(as compared to north) and go for a decent college in north.but want to go for It placements amounting to lakh per month then go for CSE/ISE in PESIT. now i am in 3rd year(BE - ISE ) and all of my friends here all preparing for placements happening next sem(i.e 7th sem).but I am habitual for always leaving the crowd around me and I am preparing for gate-16 and am trying hard to get rank in top 100 for getting a good old IIT . my advice in simple lines:::::---->>>> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- want to lead a personal (social less) life aiming for high end placements (IT companies): go for it(welcome to PESIT :) ) want to have a social life and aiming for something else (like PG admissions,PSU's) : don't go for it :) ) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- from sumit kumar BE(ISE)-pesit (now PES university) Bangalore-85 Karnataka ,India"

"It is not like many of famous private colleges of india which much more exaggerate thereself than what they are . Apart from placements imparting good knowledge is equally important for this college, when it comes to placement one of my senior of info science (IS) department got a package of 23 lakhs annual , which is huge for a private college which don't have a tag of iit or nit. Placement of branches like cs, is, telecom,ec its very good bt core branches like mechanical ,civil lags behind. It has i decent infrastructure, this is not a college which span 100s acre of land like vit vellore and manipal bt whatever area its has it well used and designed it has really beautiful building nd well equipped ac class room with 83 inch led in every class room Canteen- this college has students from almost every part of country as well as NRIs so owing to this variety of food is served in three kind of mess in this college which is hygienic as well as under my budget . Library- it has two libraries well equipped with all kind of book along with technical. Extra circular activities- this college is well known for its annual fests and sports tournament in Karnataka"

"to be precise, have a relatively small campus. but never will you feel it inadequate. Has a gym. but student are only allowed to access it under special conditions. friendly atmosphere. no raging. there is a lot of peer pressure. teachers are very dedicated. labs are well equipped. canteen food is eatable. placements are fab I have heard. since its autonomous it will vary from VTU time table and syllabus. it gives 15 days holidays between odd semesters and 2 months holidays between even semesters. Pesit has two internals only(50 each )(finally deduced to 50). third internal is only given to students who have an total lesser than 40 on 100. finals is out of 100(deduced to 50) . hostel facilities are average with lots of restrictions levied. there are good resource full libraries. over all I would rate it 9/10.(1 less for the small campus. its around 20-25 acres) ps:pes university and pesit are both being run in the same campus. but at no time will you feel any glitches due to one another.
