You can get admissions in diploma through lateral entry, which means you will be admitted directly in the 2nd year of the course.
Eligibility for lateral entry:

• The candidate must have passed 12th or ITI -2 years course Approved by the government of India.
• You should have obtained atleast 35% marks in you qualification.
• The candidate must have completed 10th standard.

Government Colleges usually have seats reserved for C to D students.  The fees varies with the college you get admission in. The fees of government colleges is lower than that of private colleges.

Being 12th pass from any reputed board in any stream (science/commerce/arts) is the minimum qualification to get admission into any reputed college offering Journalism course.
Some institutes keep a minimum marks criteria for eligibility.

Yes after 12th integrated courses are good and if you want to apply for the same you just need to know you don't have to change the college after the Bachelors because you are directly go to the Masters but they don't provide you separate degrees each for bachelor and masters you have to go through the whole year to get the degree.

for current affairs you can follow bankers adda, tele graph, the hindu , read daily any news paper.

for general knowledge you may follow lucent gk. for reasoning question you can follow rs agarwal. there is a book by vision publication for ba llb course which will also help for preparation.

Yes , cbse gives step marking and  step marking will be there in cbse board exam 2020 as well, so you don't need to worry about this at all.  Cbse follows a marking scheme according to marking scheme fir copy  checking and marking scheme takes care of step marking etc . For example,  if there's a 6 marks question in Mathematics,  you did all the steps right but in the last step you made a calculation mistake and you got a wrong answer,  so in this case you will get at least 4 marks.  So , yes step marking is there in cbse. Prepare well for board exam.
