Hi there! Thanks for reaching out to us at Careers360. I'm an intern here, so I'm still learning the ropes, but I'll do my best to help you out with your question about NEET PG seats in 2024.
You know, I actually came across some interesting information about this recently. From what I understand, there's been a pretty big jump in NEET PG seats over the past couple of years. Let me share what I found:
The total number of NEET PG seats in India was 70,645 at the start of the 2023-24 academic year. That's a huge increase from the previous year, which had 31,185 seats. It's really impressive how much it's grown!
The government has been pushing to increase these PG seats as part of their efforts to improve healthcare in India. It makes sense when you think about it - more seats mean more trained doctors, which is great news for everyone.
As for 2024 specifically, I haven't come across any official numbers yet. These things tend to get announced closer to the exam date. But given the trend we've seen, it wouldn't surprise me if there's another increase.
Is there anything specific you're curious about regarding the 2024 seats? I'd be happy to help you look into it further or point you towards some resources if you need more info. Just let me know!

A candidate cannot sit for the NEET PG 2024 exam unless their score is more than or equal to the cutoff. The NEET PG 2024 cutoff serves as the foundation for shortlisting applicants for MD, MS, and PG diploma programs in India. On September 5, 2024, NBE announced the NEET PG 2024 merit list for 50% of the AIQ seats.

Hello Aspirant
Yes, you are eligible to appear for the CAT exam despite having less than 50% in your undergraduate degree.
While many institutions and entrance exams have a minimum percentage requirement, the CAT eligibility criteria generally focus on the overall aggregate percentage. In most cases, a minimum aggregate of 50% is required, considering all semesters of your undergraduate degree.
Since you have a postgraduate degree with 79%, your overall aggregate percentage will likely meet the eligibility criteria for CAT.
Securing a DCH seat in these states with a rank of 34,400 in the general category might be challenging, but not impossible. The competition for DCH seats, especially in government colleges, is typically high. However, several factors can influence your chances:

Your rank is too low as MD or DNB respiratory medicine /chest medicine seats are limited, your rank is not good enough to get 1 of those. If you are adamant about resp med, you can take a DNB diploma in chest diseases, and later a secondary DNB degree after obtaining the diploma.or take exam next year if this is your first attempt.
