HELLO,
If you appeared in both attempts of BITSAT, and your lower score is being shown instead of the higher one , here are some suggestion that can helps you:-
BITS Pilani clearly mentions that the higher of the two scores(Attempt 1 and Attempt 2) will be considered for admission
However , after Attempt 2, BITS uploads the latest score first. The final selection will be made using the higher score out of both
You can follow these steps to check:_
1.Login in to your BITSAT candidate portal and check both scorecards (Attempt 1 and for Attempt 2)
2.If it is still showing only the lower score wait until the admission application portal updates after result normalization
Hope that Helps!
Based on your score of 113 out of 300 in the BITS HD 2025 exam, admission to BITS Pilani for the M.Pharm. (Pharmacology) program presents a significant challenge, though it isn’t entirely out of reach. The feasibility of securing a seat will depend on the specific cutoff trends for the year and the number of available seats.
Here’s what’s relevant:
- In recent years, cutoffs for M.Pharm. and its specializations have typically fallen somewhere between 90 and 130 marks. That said, these numbers can shift depending on the applicant pool and other factors in a given cycle.
- BITS Pilani usually maintains higher cutoffs than its Hyderabad and Goa counterparts, particularly for competitive programs.
- The number of seats available for Pharmacology is limited, which increases the level of competition among applicants.
- If you are applying under the General category, your chances may be somewhat lower compared to those who fall under reserved categories, depending on the year’s reservation policies.
Recommended actions:
- Wait for the official cutoff and merit lists, which BITS Pilani will release during the counseling process. This will provide a clearer picture of your standing.
- Prepare alternative plans in case the cutoff for Pilani exceeds your score.
- Consider BITS Hyderabad as an option, as this campus may have slightly lower cutoffs for the same program.
For the most up-to-date information, regularly check the official BITS HD admission portal and monitor round-wise cutoff announcements.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding BITSAT eligibility.
To be considered for the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT), applicants must have completed their 12th grade from a recognized board, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and must also demonstrate adequate proficiency in English.
Regarding marks: BITS requires a minimum aggregate of 75% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), and at least 60% individually in each of those three subjects.
Your current scores are as follows:
- Physics: 71%
- Chemistry: 90%
- Mathematics: 59%
- PCM Average: 73.3%
While your overall PCM average is close to the required threshold, the Mathematics score falls short of the individual subject minimum. As it stands, this renders you ineligible for BITSAT admission.
However, if you undertake the CBSE Improvement Exam and increase your Mathematics score to 60% or above, you would meet the eligibility requirements. BITS does accept improvement scores, provided you fulfill all eligibility criteria in your final attempt. Please ensure that:
- You sit for the improvement examination in the same year as your application (2025).
- Your final marksheet reflects the required scores in each subject, as well as the overall PCM aggregate.
It is also advisable to retain both your original and improved marksheets, as BITS will require the final, eligible result during the counselling and admission process.
Should you require guidance on selecting appropriate colleges or determining your next steps, a range of counselling tools and resources are available to assist you.
Wishing you success with your improvement exam and future applications.
