Placement and pros and cons of Bits 3 2 BE and management
Hello Dear Student,
The BITS–BITSoM 3+2 Dual Degree program is a unique 5-year pathway where students complete:
- a B.E. from Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani campuses, and
- an MBA from BITS School of Management
without separately giving CAT/XAT later.
Major advantages:
- engineering + MBA in 5 years
- strong placements and internships through the BITS Practice School system
- good career options in consulting, product management, finance, and tech leadership
- avoids MBA entrance exam pressure later.
Things to consider:
- total fees are quite high over 5 years
- workload is intensive
- you are committing early toward a management-oriented path.
Overall, it is a strong option if you already know you want a blend of technology and business rather than pure core engineering/research.
