Hi Vihaa

Generally speaking, the syllabi of the GATE is all off the course in Engineering tenure of 4 years.

Like if you have your BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, then the syllabus is from the core subjects like

1. Strength of Materials

2. IC Engines and Compressors

3. Heat and Mass Transfer

4. Manufacturing Sciences

5. Theory of Machines

Remember that the syllabus of GATE for fourth year appearing students doesn't includes the subjects of 4th year. But if you are already passed out, then the syllabus of 4th year also comes for PSUs, M.Tech and IITs.

Please specify your course and stream and eligibility so that we can tell you more about the GATE Process.

All the Best. :)

A broad range of opportunities open up for a Master's student from IISC, Bangalore including good placements and PhD in high ranking universities.

Hey,

There are ample placement opportunities for students pursuing Masters from IISC, Bangalore.Different pvt and govt. companies come for placements, also if u don't get placed immediately after Masters, u can work as a Research associate till u get a good job.Among pvt. companies Intel, Nvidia, Qualcomm, GE, Honeywell, Airbus, Siemens and other Bangalore based companies take up IISCians during placement session or if one applies directly, depending on their requirement and ur suitability. One can as well apply to different PSUs like HAL, ADA, DRDO, GTRE.Basically, Masters at IISC opens up a broad array of opportunities. Most of the reputed companies that pick students from IITs and BITS, also visit IISc for placements. And all departments have a good placement record.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for contacting CAREERS360!

After completion of B. Tech you need to write GATE exam to get admission for doing P. G in IISC. In GATE you have to get very least last that is below 200 to get seat in respective branch in IISC. For some M.Tech programmes, an aptitude test and interview will also be conducted by the admission authorities. The candidates will be required to qualify in the aptitude test and interview too for admissions

Three modes for admission into IISc,
1. KVPY, half of the seats are filled through this method.
2. Jee mains
3. Jee advance

Hello,
Sry to say but there are limited seats in iisc which are occupied by top ranking students qualified in neet and jee advanced.  Admission also occurs by selection in kvpy. After qualifying all these exams, students getting selected in interviews will get admission.
You can get admission in private medical college.
Good luck.

College Infrastructure

Our college provides excellent Wi-Fi. The labs have good computers. Classrooms are clean and have good lighting effects. The library has many books. The good part is that they allow us to borrow for many days, and the penalty is less for late submissions. Every odd semester, we have a fest. The hostel is not very good, and the food is not good.
