Hi there,

Admission will be using merit list of national level entrance exams KVPY, JEE (Main and Advanced), and NEET. Students who appear in followingentrance exams are eligible to apply for IISC 2018 Admission. NEET UG (Appearing in 2018 and securing a minimum of 60% (GN), 54% (OBC-NCL), 30% (SC/ST/PWD)). So, at the time of counselling for NEET participants, there is hardly some 10–20% seats will be left for spot counselling so the cut off marks for shortlisted candidates in different categories in the AIPMT/NEET stream will be: 600(General); 390(OBC-NCL); 390(SC); 216(ST), 362(KM) and 362(PH).

Thank you

Hey Ravi, I couldnt find any such course at IISc Bangalore. It is an Institute with research fields focussed so no B.tech courses are offered by them. Infact, the only UG program they offer is Bachelor of Science. You have scored less marks in Jee mains but still you can look for other engineering colleges offering this course. Since you have sc quota you may get some advantage. Here I am providing you the list of engineering college offering aeronautical engineering qualified through jee mains (https://engineering.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-engineering-colleges-in-India?f%5B0%5D=sm_college_course_level%3AUG&f%5B1%5D=sm_college_degree%3AB.E%20/Btech&f%5B2%5D=sm_course_offered%3AAeronautical%20Engineering&f%5B3%5D=sm_quali_exam%3AJEE%20Main). I hope this will be helpful for you and provide you an insight of the various options available and which to choose the best.

IISc is india's top institute in the field of research. For 12 pass there is ug courses like BS(bachelor of science). You can do it.It is in this context that the Indian Institute of Science offers a unique 4-year Bachelor of Science (Research) programme. The graduates of this programme will obtain a Bachelor of Science (Research) degree in a specialization. This programme is carefully designed to offer specialization in a science subject, but the knowledge imparted carries a strong flavour of engineering and an exposure to social science disciplines. Students specializing in a Major subject are encouraged to take courses on other subjects, thus maintaining the strong interdisciplinary flavour of this Bachelor of Science (Research) programme. All students take core courses in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering and Humanities in the first one and half years (I, II and III semesters). While specialization is introduced rigorously in the following year and a half (IV, V and VI semesters).

Yes you can appear JAM for biological sciences or biotechnology. There is no such criteria that of you should have chemistry as a graduation subjcet. But the questions from chemistry physics and mathematics are asked in biotechnology paper and mathematics in biological sciences paper which are mostly basics from 10+2 level. You can find more details about it on official site of JAM
