See as the choices you have given , it's like chosing between Bugatti, Bentley, BBT. All three are great.

It's you who have to decide which branch is best for you.  In between IIT Guwahati and IIT BHU ,i would prefer IIT Guwahati electronics as IIT Guwahati is among the old IIT's , so neglecting the infrastructure, what i see is that the placements and other factors are better than that of IIT BHU.

Now Between IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee , IIT Roorkee has a slightly upper hand But it is almost same. So you have to decide . If you prefer Mechanical then IITR Mech.>IITG Electronics>IIT BHU Electronics. Else just reverse the first two. This is what i think.

TThank you.

Hi Ankit!

Without, interest if you are looking to pick a course by only looking at the placements.

Then,i suggest you pick IIT BHU electronics cause even though it is a hard course, the demand for Electronics engineers are on the rise and will ofter you a fatter salary.

Wheras, Mechanical engineers often look to pursue a higher degree after UG to secure a job with high pay.

first of all let it be clear that whether iit bhu has msc physics program or not . actually bhu has msc physics program and not iit bhu ,both are not same . doing msc from any iit is a very good option but if you want to study physics from bhu then its level is same as any other central university . du is better than bhu .

Hello,
Well, IIT Indore is doing great. I know so because my friend got that college in his first round of JoSAA counselling. In terms of infra, IIT BHU is still ahead of IIT Indore. The machines, etc are old in the old departments such as mechanical, etc. However, departments like CSE and Mathematics have brand new buildings, computers, etc.
Plus, the inevitable abvantage of a greater alumni base. Marginally better job scenario in core branches. And ya, faculty is also average enough, just like any other old IIT.
Hence, one should still prefer IIT BHU over IITI.
I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.

Hello student,

With the options which you have mentioned above, for CSE branch it will be the best option for you to choose IIT BHU (Varanasi) rather than any of the remaining three. Coming to the other three the preference would be like Ahmedabad, Dhanbad then Indore.

Cheers!

Hi Aspirant

All these options are great options.

Since you have no specific interest in any particular branch it comes down to picking up the right college.

There are a few things that must be kept in mind while choosing the college:

a) Alumni Network - The older the college the better Alumni Network  youw have and that helps a lot. In that case IIT Roorkee will be the best option for you.

b) Location - You must keep in mind that location plays a very major role. In case you decide to go for higher studies you must see which city will give you better opportunities for coaching.

c) Ranking - Going by the NIRF Rankings, the order would be IIT Roorkee then IIT Guwahati then IIT BHU.

Hope this helps. All the Best.

Hello there,
Both the NIT colleges when compared are equivalent to each other. As per my view iit varanasi is better than iit Dhanbad. IIT varanasi is an older iit with high placements and good packages whereas iit Dhanbad has recently been built. The mechanical engineering packages are good in  both of the NIT colleges.

Well, regarding the choices, it is evidednt you are confused because you are filling the JoSAA counseling on basis of previous trends not on the basis of your interest.

Metallurgy and chemical engineering, both are different branches and also, let me tell you both are great if you find interest in them and both are useless, if you find bored with them

So, I would recommend you to discover you niche/interest in a particular engieerning branch, then fill the choices on JoSAA accordingly.

Also, IIT BHU and IIT Dhanbad, both are excellent colleges, but BHU bit better.

Hello...

If you are keen interested in CSE then go to IIT jodhpur without thinking much but if you are just following the trend of CSE then wait and read my opinion.

If you are interested in CSE then IIT jodhpur will be good for you but if you are interested in electronics also then go with ECE branch in some good IIT because there you can learn both coding and technical knowledge.

If you are interested in mechanical then go with IIT Dhanbad it will be best for you.

Do it's depend on your interest ask yourself and take decision wisely.

For further queries feel free to comment.

Hello,

For Pursuing any branch all the IIT's are best and reputed institution of our country.IIT BHU is one of them .Placement is good here, almost 80-90% student get placed every year with high packages.Average package is around 8 lakh per annum. They provide internship opportunities on campus with stipend. With great qualified teachers with good research and alumini. But the best college you may choose is Institute of chemical technology, Mumbai. I hope it helped
