Hi Vishal,
You can change your branch after first year, but only if you score very high GPA(Grades). A few students are able to do it, but for most of them, it is nothing but a trap. Initially everyone is confident that they'll get their branches changed, But all IITs have a rule that only 10% of the students from each branch can change their branches, and the branch's strength they are going into, should not increase beyond 15% of its initial strength, IIT BHU might have somewhat different rule, but all IITs follow this more or less. You are advised, to go to the institute's website, and see the branch change rules, before taking a decision.
Hope it helps.
Hello Aman,
Without a thought, Dual-Degree is a better option as compared to just B.Tech. B.Tech + M.Tech takes 6 years where Dual-Degree program gives you both degrees in 5 years span. IIT Buvneshwar ranks at number 9 whereas IIT Dhanbad ranks at number 19. So, by these 2 points pursuing Dual-Degree from IIT Bhuvneshwar is a better option as compared that just B.Tech from IIT Dhanbad.
All The Best
Hello Vishal,
If we talk about brand value, then there is no question that IIT is a better brand as compared to IIIT or NIT for that matter.
Now choosing the department depends entirely on your interest in the subject whether you want to pursue higher studies or give competitive exams.
Hi Lokinder!!! Congratulations on your score but I am sorry to inform you that you'll not be able to qualify with your score according to our rank predictor at https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-advanced-rank-predictor
So, I would suggest you to go for NITs or private colleges.
Hope it helps.Thank you
The infra is I would say average only not too good and not too bad …it need to work on its infra they really need to work on that otherwise people would stop taking IIT BHU …most of the nits have better infra
Hostels: Separate hostels for boys and girls with amenities like laundry, dining halls, and medical centers Labs: Modernized laboratories for various subjects including chemistry, physics, and computer science Library: A well-equipped library with over 88,000 books, terminals for accessing databases, and more Sports facilities: A sports complex with a swimming pool, tennis courts, indoor squash courts, and more Auditorium: A large auditorium Canteen: A cafeteria Gym: Separate gyms for boys and girls
The infrastructure of this IIT needs to be improved as far as other IITS are concerned. We will find decent hostels situated on campus. It also has its own mess, which provides decent food. Classrooms are also well-equipped with modern facilities. Here, the library has very limited capacity so it needs to be expanded.
