Hello,

See, Zone is specified for the well-mannered functioning of the exam. If you clear your advanced and get a seat in any of the IITs you'll have to go for verification and all other process and confirmation of seat at your Zone.

You can check about more details here-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-advanced-exam-centres#:~:text=JEE%20Advanced%202020%20exam%20centres%20are%20divided%20into%207%20zones,card%20released%20on%20September%2021

Hope this will help, All the best.

Hello Aspirant,

Expected qualifying cut-offs for this year are as follows :-

  • Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95 Percentile
  • GEN-EWS - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50- 55 Percentile
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 40- 45 Percentile
  • PwD - 1-2 Percentile

So as per the expected cut-offs, being a SC candidate you should try to secure at least 50+ percentile in JEE-Main to get qualified for JEE-Advance 2021

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2021 but expected on the basis of previous year's analysis. You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

Now if we go through the latest cut-off of 2020 then it shows that the closing rank for SC category was 29 for CSE branch in IIT Bombay . It is little bit difficult to tell you about exact marks to score because for JEE-Advance no maximum marks are fixed but yes with regards to JEE-Advance 2021 if you secure your AIR in JEE-Advance under top 20 in SC category then there would be good chances for you to get CSE branch in IIT Bombay .

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your JEE-Main score, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

If you want to work in the core fields, then you should choice as per the subject. But if you want to go for Coding jobs and you join to IT then I would recommend you to go for IIT BOMBAY Engineering Physics. If you learn coding (for engineering physics/ physics there is coding in different languages such as python, C++, Fortran etc but they aren't that in depth but you can invest some time by taking electives) then you will get amazing offers in IIT BOMBAY. I am not saying BITS will not give you good placements but the environment, the scope and the label that will IIT provide you will be far better than that of BITS. Also for Engineering Physics as a course subject you can get good positions in Automobile Industries, Civil and architectural companies such as L&T. So for IIT you will have a good choice and IIT Bombay is the best institute in India, so if you get a chance don't leave it just for the subject matter as nothing will matter if you are hard working. Now if you are only interested about Electronics then I would say go for BITS. But if you want to get any of the two then go for IIT Bombay.

Hello,

The Department of Energy Science and Engineering (DESE) focuses on research and education for the development of sustainable energy systems for the future. The Department is an unique blend of science and engineering for the Energy sector.
Today, we can clearly say that world and all the tasks in the world are energy driven. Our country being one of the fastest growing economy, we need more and more energy.
Today every country is now looking to change from conventional form of energy sources (thermal, hydro, coal, oil, etc) to non-conventional form of energy (solar, wind, geo-thermal, etc).
For that reason, Energy Engineering department gets lot of fund for R&D. This branch of engineering will have lots of works and growth in near future so its highly advisable to go for this course. As far as opening a startup is concerned, if you join IIT Bombay which is most prestigious and highly rated IIT, you will learn lot of new things, meet lot of bright minds and professors and 4 years of this knowledge and guidance can surely help you to open a startup in future. If you are thinking of joining this course then you can join it without any doubt.

I hope this helps.

Dear Aspirant,

See IIT BOMBAY is one the Best IITs. There is no "easy" of getting in there with CSE Branch .JEE Advanced being a national level highly competitive exam  , it would take much efforts irrespective of category.

As per the official JOSAA website  the closing rank for IIT BOMBAY CSE last year(2020) for Female Sc quota was 107.

You can check previous year cutoffs here for IIT BOMBAY-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-advanced-cutoff-for-iit-bombay

Or you can also Check at official JOSAA website:

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

See as the exam pattern  for JEE Advanced changes every year its quite difficult to predict exactly how many marks are required for specific institute.

It has been observed that for General students who score 40-50% of total marks of JEE Advanced paper 1 & paper 2  have decent chances of getting into IITs,

Now for SC Category & Female quota nearly 50-60% of total marks might help  to get IIT BOMBAY CSE Branch.

(This may or may not be accurate due to changing pattern and trends every year.)

Now one needs not just understand  all the concepts of JEE syllabus very well but one also needs to develop a high exam temperament attitude, because the pattern of exam is declared when get to see the question paper on the day of exam itself.

Identify your strength  and weaknesses, improve your weak areas , rectify your mistakes from mock tests.Do as many mock tests as you can.

Hi

IIT Bombay doesn't offer electronic engineering, it offers Electrical Engineering. I am assuming you from general category

This is a bit difficult to predict the rank required in to get a seat as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the jee advanced exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

When we go through previous year trend then ,

In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , for general  category  closing rank for gender neutral in IIT Bombay is provided below:-

  • Electrical Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology):- 298

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So, you must target at least rank of around 290 in jee advanced 2021
