Hey aspirant

Admission to IIT is based on jee advanced. For that you need to qualify jee mains.  Minimum cut off mark for qualifying jee mains is 66 percentile for ews. By improving your score and percentile you could get admission in iit. Now coming to nit and gfti with above mark and percentile it is difficult for you to secure a seat. An ews candidate should secure 95+ percentile for admission in NIT. For the above percentile you could get admission in private engineering colleges. For more details on college prediction refer the below link https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp

Hey aspirant

With 74percentile in mains chances of getting admission in NIT and gifts is low. You need to score 95 percentile above for getting admission in NIT. For branches like cse, ece and all 98+ percentile are needed. Now coming to iit, as you are eligible for writing jee advanced  by improving your score in jee advanced you can get admission in IIT.  Now with above percentile you have a good chance of getting admission in private engineering colleges. For more details on college prediction  refer the below link https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp

Hello,

IIIT Lucknow is a better option than IIIT Gwalior due to it's better placement opportunities. IIIT Lucknow has it's own placement cell in it's campus. It has retained it 25.8 LPA average.

IIIT LUCKNOW placements are amazing than those in IIIT Gwalior. If you want a really good placement then you should be willing to work hard. It all comes down to your hardwork. The college can ultimately only bring you in touch with great conpanies and facilities. It is you who has to crack the placement tests and interviews.

IIIT Lucknow has an average salary package of 25.8 LPA and the highest salary package of 2.1 Crore per annum. On the other hand, the average salary package of IIIT Gwalior is 24.85 LPA and the highest salary package of 1.95 Crore per annum.

I hope this helps,

All the best

Hi Tushar,

Since you are from general category it is very difficult for you to get one of the top branches like Computer Science in any of the iiits, even with a decent percentile and rank.

Considering last year’s trend, round 6 closed at rank 45842 for cse, it was for iiit manipur.

You can predict your college by using the college predictor - https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp

hello aspirant,

With the above mentioned rank in OBC category, and according to the previous years JEE mains Cutoff, you have very difficult chances of getting Any good NIT's or IIIT's with this much rank, even if you have home state quota. Although you can get some Low-ranked NIT's like NIT Mizoram, NIT Sikkim, NIT Puducherry, only if you have the hoke state Quota, otherwise in All India Quota you have less chances of getting seat in NIT. The minimum required rank for getting Good NIT's must be around 16k-17k in jee mains.

But do not worry as you can get some other State Level engineering colleges with this rank and many private colleges as well.

To know more about the JEE mains Cutoff, you can follow the below mentioned link : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

To know about your chances of admissions in other colleges, you can follow the below mentioned link to know more : https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp

I hope that this will help.
