Hi

Making  prediction is difficult as  cutoff  depends upon various factors like :-

-----------) number of students/ candidates  that appeared in the  jee main exam,

-----------) number of available seats,

-----------) performance of different students in the examination,

-----------) the branch you want,

-----------) the category you belong etc.

-----------) your rank in jee main

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then

Hi.

Based on your rank and category and OPEN seat you will not be able to get into any NIT or IIIT with such a high rank.

You also need to mention your Category Rank and Home State as well, which might give you better chances in JOSAA.

You can use our College Predictor tool for JEE Mains to help you in finding college and branch of your choice based on your merits in the exam.

Good Luck

Some of the best IIITs (Indian Institute of Information Technology), not to be confused with IIIT Hyderabad/IIIT Bangalore/IIIT Delhi, include

2. CSE/IT at IIIT Lucknow

3. IIIT Bhubaneshwar

4. CSE at IIIT Pune/Guwahati/Vadodara/Surat

Hello,

Candidates who have valid JEE Main rank and who participated in JoSAA 2021 but did not get seat are eligible for CSAB 2021 special round. Also the candidates who are allotted seats through JoSAA 2021 but not accepted their admission or cancelled the allotted seats are eligible for CSAB 2021 special round. So if you want to participate in CSAB counselling you have to cancel the seat allotted in JoSAA counselling if you are allotted a seat. When you cancel the seat allotted in JoSAA counselling you cannot claim it if you do not get seat after CSAB counselling is concluded. To read the eligibility criteria and other important information click on the link given below

Hello Aspirant,

No any NITs or IIITs are very difficult on such OBC rank but yes you can definitely go for some GFTIs

If we go through previous year's data of seat allotment On the basis of data mentioned in the question by you, you can go for the enlisted colleges :-

Good Luck for your future!!

Hello,

According to your percentile in jee mains your general rank will be close to 2. 9 lakh and with this rank you have very less chance to get seat in any NIT, GFTI and IIIT as your rank is very high.

Since you have secured 8 2.97 percentile also your Obc-ncl category rank will be too low. You will not get any NITs, IIITS and GFTIs due to low rank. You may get admission in some private colleges.

With this score you may be eligible for JEE Advance but chances seems less to get a seat in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs.

NOTE: The Rank Predicted is on the basis of the expected total number of students  appearing in the JEE Mains 20 21 . It can vary from the actual rank.

You can also use JEE Main college Predictor tool to know your admission possibilities.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck .

Hello,

Congratulations on getting such good college and branch options. I will give you a preference list which will comprise of all these factors:

  • Overall ranking
  • Infrastructure
  • Location/accessibility
  • Branch that you are been offered(Core/interdisciplinary)
  • Placement opportunities
  • Industry Exposure

You should consider IIIT Gwalior above IIITDM Kancheepuram.

I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet more reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. An interest in the field is the key factor in deciding how your 4 years of college will be and what opportunities you will land for yourself.

Good luck, hope it helps!!
