Hi,

Hope you are doing well. The seat allotment of JOSAA is done after considering JEE Merit and choices filled by students. So in your case you have filled NIT Srinagar at 49 and IIIT Kota near 100th position. You can get IIIT Kota when you don't have enough rank to get colleges which are in above order than IIIT. Once filled , it is difficult to change preference list .

I hope this will answer your query.

Thanks!!!!

Hello Buddy! Hope you're doing good.

As if you filled your category as obc during JEE exam form fillup then during 1st round the college will be alloted based on obc category. Let if you get a seat then you have to produce a proof in the document verification round. Now, if you are not able to show them the obc certificate then your seat will be cancelled and your category is updated to General category and you'll be moved to next round with General category. Hope this will help you.

ALL THE BEST! WORK HARD !!

Hello,

Congratulations on getting such good college and branch options. I will give you a preference which will comprise of all these factors:

  • Overall ranking
  • Infrastructure
  • Location/accessibility
  • Branch that you are been offered(Core/interdisciplinary)
  • Placement opportunities
  • Industry Exposure

The preference you should consider is:

  1. NIT Jalandhar, Mechanical
  2. VNIT Nagpur, Chemical
  3. NIT Silchar, Electrical
  4. NIT Srinagar, Electrical
  5. NIT Hamirpur, Mathematics and Computing

I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet more reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. An interest in the field is the key factor in deciding how your 4 years of college will be and what opportunities you will land for yourself.

Good luck, hope it helps!!

Hello aspirant,

NIT Agartala and NIT Srinagar were the premier institutions of India.

NIT Agartala situated in the north-east region of India whereas NIT Srinagar is situated in Kashmir region. As of both the colleges have huge campus and all the basic amenities for students.

But as you know the Kashmir region undergoes terrorist attacks every now and then so the region is not too safe.

But inside the NIT there would be no problem as securities would be there but sometimes if you wanna go out, there might be risk.

I would have choose NIT Agartala between the two.

Rest is upto you.

Dear student,

No, you cannot get cse branch in nit srinagar with scoring 100 marks in jee mains, unless and until you belong to some category like pwd or you belong to home state quota in csab round counseling.

But if you are from other state, then there is no chance that you can get nit srinagar cse branch with just 100 marks.
And also you have to clear the percentile cutoff set up by the nta form amy particular category fron which you belong.

Hello,

I hope you are doing fine, NIT Sikkim for CS, NIT Agartala for ECE and NIT Srinagar for CS, All the above asked are equally good at its place. It depends on your preference where you want to study or where you will be comfortable. For CS students they dont need much Infrastructure. Just a laptop and a good Internet Connection would be enough and once if you get comfortable with thw surroundings with college you are good to go. So, chose the one which would give you best environment. All the above mentioned are good colleges though NIT Sikkim is newly built among NIT's but still it is a good college.

I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future.

Good Luck

Overall a nice experience

College Infrastructure

Facilities are okay, with classrooms that are functional and equipped with WiFi and smartboards. Laboratories meet basic needs. The library is large but lacks some newer resources. Sports facilities are acceptable, though not always fully utilized. Hostels need better cleanliness, and food needs improvement.
