For your kind information you should know that thapar institute has already been released its application form for lateral entry for the session 2019 -20, on 15 October 2019, and classes has already been begun there, if you are asking for 2020-21 session then you can considered the same date that application form for the exam will release in October 2020.

YOu can try for the nits if you are from any of the reserved categories. sure you can get the scholarship at Thapar university. The scholarship will be mostly 60% off from the tuition fee of the course which you take.

Congratulations for your result and qualifying JEE mains.

since it is very difficult to predict the exact rank but we do have a backup> we have a formula to calculate the expected rank that is (100 – Total percentile) x 869010/100.

So according to formula your expected rank for present percentile for January session comes out to be  68999 . Now the expected rank might change depending on the no of candidates appearing the april session. For ex if 12 lakh candidate appear the april session then just replace 869010 by 12 lakhs. But if you score above 85 percentile then you have a very decent chance of qualifying jee mains.

Now since the official cutoffs  for college are yet to be decided but let us analyse your chances by looking into the previous year cutoffs data

see cutoff scores changes year to year and depends on various factors like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix etc. now jee main april session exam is going to held, so if number of candidates increased this time it will have effect on your percentile and rank,

The procedures or eligibility of Admission in B.Tech in Thapar University  are :

  • For B.E./B.Tech., B.E-MBA Integrated program, the candidate must have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate in Class 12 th .
  • Admission to B.Tech is done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the JEE Main.
  • For admission you have to secured at least 15% aggregate marks (10% for SC/ST candidates) in JEE (Main)-2020.

For Lateral Entry, the candidate must have passed Diploma and must have cleared class 12th with minimum 60% marks.

You have to provide your percentile as last year cutoff of Thapar university was based on percentile. If your percentile is 85.48 you have a chance to get thapar university.

Last year cutoff percentile of Thapar university outside punjab and punjab region respectively

College Infrastructure

Thapar has the most wonderful campus. Such a beauty to live within.It has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities starting from labs and classrooms to sports area and a market for daily essentials. We have a good working wifi that us available 24/7.Cleaning staff makes sure the campus looks well eveytime.

Overall good experience. Loved my time spent there.
