Last date for PH.D(second semester) in Thapar institute of engineering and technology is 3 December 2019,And offline test will be conducted on 9th December 2019 in Patiala.And result will be out on 12th December. And interview will be conducted on 16th and 17th December.

Almost 50% seats at Thapar University are reserved for students belonging to Punjab state,2% for sports category and rest are divided amongst J&K Migrants and students belonging to different states ,but as per the reservation status there is no special girls quota at the university  you can access the details seat and reservation matrix for various programs at the link provided, http://www.thapar.edu/admissions/pages/eligibility

Average salary of on campus placement is 5LPA. Mostly students are getting placed with 3-4 LPA and which is okay for a fresher to get that much. If one wants to get high salary then he/she has to be skilled as MNCs keep tests and coding rounds in 3-4 phases to get a job. To solve those problem statements one has to be enough skilled. This need the basics of computer science fundamentals, expertise in any programming language basically JAVA as it provides  lots of built-in classes. C++ is also used but both of it needs to be practiced and the program has to be optimized at the same time.

so if you want to get a job with high salary, get skilled with practice.

Average package of previous years are around 6 lac and 70% of students were placed. Apart from core companies students were placed in IT companies and Consulting firms. Overall this  was good with every respect  for ECE students. Every student who was genuinely interested in getting placed was placed.

Yes Thapar University Patiala Punjab takes admission after one year gap after 12th. As you have three chances in JEE mains and Thapar University takes admission on the basis of JEE mains examination. You have to really score good marks in JEE mains for admission into Patiala University.

If you have taken admission to Thapar University via December Test then you have a summer term wherein you complete the courses covered in the first semester. You are graded based on your performance in the papers conducted after it.

First of all placements at Thapar University are much better than any campus of SRM.
Last year's Highest Package-23 Lakhs
This year's Highest Package-21 Lakhs
Also a company which offered 33 lakhs came to the campus this year but result has not been declared yet.
Average Package CSE -  7-8 Lakhs
Overall Average Package -  6-7 Lakhs

Also the latest syllabus is really awesome Not getting in much detail i will just mention that Student's are being taught C,C++ and Java in the first year itself.

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Patiala is a better option for ECE.

Placements in the college are great compared to other tier-2 colleges in India. The average salary package offered to ECE students is 6 LPA. Around 4-5 core companies visit the college for ECE students every year. So, I can say that the overall scenario of placements for ECE students is good. Students can manage to grab a package of 5-6 LPA.

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology has a really good infrastructure and a friendly environment for students to learn and grow academically as well as personallyl. Each hostel has a canteen offering a variety of food. Academic buildings are good with proper projectors in classrooms. They have 2 football fields, one synthetic running track, one hockey field, 4 tennis courts, two basketball courts, one badminton court and a swimming pool too. They have a good library, and it has all kinds of books. The library also has a huge reading room, and is open 24 hours a day. If you are studious, then this place is for you.

Faculty members are highly educated and cooperative. Most of the teachers are from IITs or other good foreign universities. Some of them are really strict, but most of them are really good and supportive.

The campus crowd is very good. There are many good societies, and you will surely enjoy working there. Workshops are conducted every weekend.
