Hello,
It all depends on what you seek at the end of your engineering. Being a CTAEian, I know the harsh reality of placement season where 45 students from ECE, 45 students from electrical,45 from CSE and 60 from IT, all have only one ultimate goal and that is TCS, that too with a package of 3–3.5 LPA. No other MNC arrives on campus apart from TCS.Rest is your luck with pool campus drives. And FYI, IT department is closed now in CTAE.
But if we talk about other departments like mining and agriculture, you get way better opportunities as agriculture and mining students are offered an initial package of almost 6–7 LPA from companies like Mahindra, Sonalika, Hindustan Zinc. Also, they can go for CAT as IIMs have a special reservation or quota kind of thing for students from this particular branch.Clearing GATE and getting into an IIT is way easier for them as compared to IT guys as very few people opt these branches for B.Tech and hence, lesser competition.
Mechanical and civil people used to grab better packages in earlier times. I am not sure about their present situation.
Talking about faculties, the college has the best and pretty experienced teachers in agriculture, mining and mechanical departments. Rest all departments are dependent on guest faculties who themselves are not sure about what they teach.
JECRC would give you much better exposure in terms of events, competitions and placements. But again , it comes at a cost. I dont know about the exact fee structure but definitely it is more than what CTAE demands. Their placement division is way more active than what we had at CTAE. Also, being in Jaipur, you would be able to attend pool campus drives in other colleges easily.
To summarise, CTAE is not total waste if you know how to make your way out and are ready to work hard. But definitely, the opportunities you can witness at JECRC would definitely be better than CTAE.
Hello,.There are chances that you nay get in some branch as per ur category and scores

The College of Engineering and Technology, Udaipur, is nestled amidst lush greenery, providing a tranquil setting that’s perfect for focused learning. The buildings are well-kept and the overall cleanliness of the campus is commendable.
College has a large campus, alonh with all sports ground. But the infrastructure is old, that's why many cracks are visible on walls and roofs of buildings. The management is a great issue regarding the maintenance of the campus.
All the basic amenities are present, labs are really nicely equipped with a lot of upto date equipments for learning , we also have a playground for someone who might be interested in sports and extra carricular . we do have libraries which are very well kept and maintanied you can found big time help in academics in those giant libraries.
