Good collage in the city centre with good faculty. Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr AIT), Bangalore is a well-established autonomous engineering college with a decent reputation among VTU-affiliated institutions. The college offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, especially in engineering and technology fields. Academically, the curriculum is considered relevant and industry-oriented, with exposure to modern subjects like AI, data science, and programming. Faculty members are generally experienced, supportive, and approachable, which helps students understand concepts better and perform well in exams. The campus is spacious with good greenery, creating a calm learning environment. Infrastructure is satisfactory, with well-maintained classrooms, labs, and a library, although some facilities could benefit from modernization. In terms of placements, the college provides decent opportunities, especially for core branches and IT-related fields, with companies like TCS and Flipkart recruiting students. The highest packages have gone above ₹19 LPA in recent years, though average packages are moderate. Overall, Dr AIT is a good choice for students seeking a balanced college experience with decent academics, campus life, and placement opportunities. However, it may not match top-tier institutions in terms of infrastructure and consistently high placement outcomes.
The academic environment at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr AIT), Bangalore is structured to provide students with a strong foundation in engineering and technology. As an autonomous institution under VTU, the college has the flexibility to design its own curriculum, which is regularly updated to match current industry requirements. Subjects such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and modern programming languages are included, helping students stay relevant in today’s competitive job market. The faculty members are experienced and knowledgeable, with many having strong academic backgrounds and teaching experience. They are generally approachable and supportive, encouraging students to ask questions and participate actively in class. Teaching methods include a mix of theory and practical sessions, supported by well-equipped laboratories that help students gain hands-on experience. Continuous evaluation is followed through internal assessments, assignments, and projects, which ensures consistent learning rather than last-minute exam preparation. The college also encourages students to take part in workshops, seminars, and technical events to enhance their knowledge beyond textbooks. Overall, the academics at Dr AIT are considered good for students who are willing to put in effort and make use of the available resources, though self-learning plays an important role in achieving excellence.
The placement scenario at (Dr AIT), Bangalore is considered decent and steadily improving over the years. The college has a dedicated placement and training cell that actively works to connect students with recruiters and prepare them for the hiring process. Regular training sessions, including aptitude tests, coding practice, group discussions, and mock interviews, are conducted to enhance students’ employability skills. A variety of companies visit the campus each year, especially from the IT and service sectors. Major recruiters include companies like , , , and occasionally product-based companies such as . The highest packages have reached around ₹15–20 LPA in recent years for top-performing students, while the average package typically ranges between ₹3–6 LPA depending on the branch and market conditions. Placement opportunities are generally better for branches like Computer Science, Information Science, and Electronics, while core branches may have comparatively fewer options. Students who develop strong technical skills, participate in internships, and work on projects tend to secure better offers. Overall, placements at Dr AIT are satisfactory, but success largely depends on individual effort, skill development, and preparation beyond the college curriculum.
The value for money at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr AIT), Bangalore can be considered good, especially for students who secure admission through entrance exams like KCET. The fee structure for B.Tech is relatively affordable compared to many private engineering colleges, with total tuition fees around ₹4.3 lakh for four years, and even lower annual fees for government quota students. When compared to the facilities, academics, and placement opportunities offered, the return on investment is reasonable. The college provides decent infrastructure, experienced faculty, and exposure to industry-relevant subjects, which adds value to the overall learning experience. In terms of placements, average packages range around ₹5–6 LPA, with higher packages going significantly above ₹15 LPA for top performers. For students paying through KCET or merit quota, the cost-to-benefit ratio is quite favorable, making it a worthwhile choice. However, for those entering through management quota with higher fees, the value for money may feel moderate rather than excellent. Overall, Dr AIT offers a balanced return on investment, where students who actively develop skills, participate in internships, and utilize campus opportunities can gain good career outcomes for the amount they invest in their education.
The college life at (Dr AIT), Bangalore offers a balanced mix of academics, extracurricular activities, and social experiences. The campus is spacious and filled with greenery, creating a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere for students. There are various student clubs and technical societies where students can participate in coding, robotics, cultural events, and sports, helping them explore their interests beyond academics. The college regularly organizes fests, cultural programs, and technical events that bring energy and excitement to campus life. These events provide opportunities for students to showcase their talents, build confidence, and interact with peers from different departments. Sports facilities are also available, allowing students to engage in both indoor and outdoor games. Peer interaction is generally positive, with students coming from diverse backgrounds, which creates a good learning and social environment. While the campus life is enjoyable, it may not be as vibrant or high-energy as top-tier colleges, but it still provides enough opportunities for personal growth and networking. Overall, college life at Dr AIT is comfortable and engaging for students who actively participate in activities, build friendships, and make the most of the opportunities available on campus.
Good
It's a great campus with the necessary infrastructure and equipment, but they are old. Although some part of it is being modified, more renovation could be done. Classrooms have a smart TV & projector which makes it convenient. There is a library, a sports centre, and although Wi-Fi is present in the campus, it's only accessible in certain parts of the campus and sometimes it doesn't work.
Academics are good, but the quality entirely depends on the faculty handling the subject and the cooperation of the students. Yes, since i'm studying in a newly introduced branch, i think it is updated with the recent developments in the field.
the quality of placements at our college has not been that great, looking into the past years very few students were placed i'm yet to attend the placement process as i'm going to enter my final year.
none
There could be better classrooms and bathrooms, and more number of smart boards could be installed and additional classrooms would really help the new branch students as there are new branches in the it sector
Really good, the faculty staff are quite experienced for us to provide proper guidance and help us to sce our academics as well as our career related concerns that enhance our skills with the academics
Very responsible and caring mentors, the placement staff in here very particular with our proper training and practice of all soft and technical skills so that we definitely Crack all of the hard interviews
Could provide better infrastructure
Not bad

The infrastructure is decent small renovations and improvements are being made recently. Labs have basic equipments but some needs to be replaced since they dont work. Wifi does not work in most of the places. Most classrooms have smart boards. Washroom maintainance should be improved. A new indoor sports complex has also been built recently.
I am studying Computer Science and Business Systems. The teaching quality is decent overall, but the experience can vary depending on the subject and the faculty. The college also has skill labs for students.
Placements are average overall. The highest package last year was around 14 LPA, but most companies offer moderate packages. The college provides placement support but getting a good offer mostly depends on your own skills.
The fee through KCET is around ₹1 lakh per year for non-integrated courses while integrated courses have lower fees. Management quota fees are also relatively reasonable compared to colleges with a similar ranking.
There are a few clubs students can join if interested and the college conducts fests like Maitri and Sanskriti along with some branch fests as well.

The infrastructure at Dr. AIT , Bangalore is decent but not outstanding. The campus is spacious with good greenery and multiple academic blocks. Classrooms are well-maintained and ventilated with with basic facilities like projectors. Labs are functional with required equipment, though some systems could be upgraded. The library has a good collection of books and study space. Sports facilities and hostels are available, but a few areas feel slightly outdated and need modernization.
The academic curriculum for Computer Science Business Systems is fairly balanced , combining tech and business oriented subjects. Most Faculty members are Knowledgeable and supportive, though teaching quality varies across departments.
Placements are average compared to top-tier colleges. Some well Known companies visit campus, but opportunities are limited and competitive. The average package is moderate , and only a portion of students secure high-paying roles.
Considering the fee structure , the college provides reasonable value. it offers decent infrastructure , academics, and placements support at an affordable cost compared to private institutions.
Campus life is active and engaging with various technical and cultural events conducted throughout the year. Students have opportunities to participate in clubs , fests and hackathons, which help in overall personality development.
Overall, Dr. AIT offers a balanced college experience with decent academics, average placements and good campus life.
Our college has all facilities such as libaries, sports centers and hostels with wifi and smart boards . Classrooms are well spaced with well lighted and ventilated . washrooms are cleaned twice a day
Ya our college has cgpa of 9.8 in ece which is very great. And academics pressure is less . If you attend all the classes they scoring is not an issue.Labs are good with electricity and good trainers
For placements we need to put extra efforts as all concepts related to it will be not covered you should need to keep an eye and cover all the topics if you wait for them to cover it is very difficult
I like it my college campus so much the greenery s and also facilities like smart classrooms lab sir very good the computers are there with latest software and I speed internet access there the classrooms are very furniture I like it the campus very much
The computer science program which requires very good academics which I am satisfied with our college where they cover very advanced level algorithm software engineering and a artificial intelligence the institute organised accounts coding competitions and workshops to keep students engaged with the latest tech news
The job opportunities in our college for our CS branch is strong and add connection with alumini also and great IT companies in compared to other branches our branch top in placement the package is competitive
Our institute offers good infrastructure which is very big surroundings and ground which also will acuped electronic slabs modern classrooms and started library with the resource for electronics subject the labs are received with up to date equipment necessary for practical work
Compressive curriculum is there which covers core areas like digital electronics communication systems microprocessor and VLSI the faculties mix of experiences like both are there experienced and new faculty sir also there and experience faculty salts advanced degrees overall if we compare teaching qualities generally good
Placement cell at our college is not much active however try to connect with the companies in electronics it and telecommunication as a student need to put in extra effort to secure top tier position, the average salary is 3-4 lpa
College infrastructure offers a decent facilities, however we are lacking in canteen facilities but campus is spacious and large because more number of branches are offerings in our college, classrooms are well maintained.
Generally satisfactory with the academics our college as the experiences faculty with the advance degree like doctorate over there focusing more on the theoretical another than the practical we need more exposure to real industry practical exposure
Placement process is quite difficult for our branch many students are end up in the IT sector rather than the core sector with the minimal package over placement cell is dedicating working towards bringing companies to recruitment
Hello Aspirant,
