Not recommending this college

Posted on 12 Dec' 18 by Raghavendra Deshpande
Batch of 2018 | M.Tech Machine Design
1. Except one or two, the Teaching staff is not champions of their respective subject. 2. College administrative is such a horrible that it's just like another government office. This administrative department is still in 1960 era. 3. Always ready to pay extra 5 to 10 K ready for examination section. Anytime they might ask you to pay the penalty. 4. Not a single expensive reference textbooks are available in the college library. 5. College campus is enable with WI-FI facility, but it is always showing connectivity problem. 6. Highly recommending not to opt this college for post graduation and graduation for Mechanical engineering department.

The college is situated just outside the city but is well connected by busses to the city so travelling isn't gonna be a problem the faculty members of the college are very well educated our dept has many faculty members from iits and iisc it's your responsibility to take an advantage of this and get as much knowledge as possible from them the campus is not very huge but it's big enough to hangout with your friends and satisfies your every need like playground library shops canteen etc the placements for our dept is not up to the mark but if you try hard and get in the top10 percent of the class you might get placed in a core company or else tcs will be waiting for you in the next door

I agree on the infrastructure problems we have in our college but other colleges aren't too good either. Its all about respect that one has for the institution he or she belongs & its important to contribute to college than they do to us ! Our Mech Department academic results compared to other Resort-Like Colleges is much HIGHER & the competency level of knowledge of our Professors is greater than any you could find in a college up to our grade.. I'm Just very proud to be part of OUR COLLEGE & especially ROYAL MECH !!!!

Batch of 2019 | B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering
This college has good transport facilities, nice greeny campus , nice facility of intelligent faculty, library and scholarship facilities. The campus still needs some work which is goingon now , canteen is small which can hold about 150 people so it's congested . The people in the branch are competitive and helpfulin nature , the head of the department is one of the kind who has knowledge of every topic in electronics and communication. Campus is well maintained except the play ground but everything is clean . Hostel facilities are well up to the mark the food is not that much enjoyable but it's good compared to others, there is variety of foods made in whole week . Whole hostel student should choose between north or south meals which divides them with different options. The canteen food is cheaper than outside and tastes good . Wifi availability and book availability are up to the mark in library . Overall it's a average performance college and is helpful for thier students.

If Price is the bottleneck to choose College for pursuing BE Civil or any other course for that matter, This is the college which should be top on the college selection list. The college provides what it promises, it will imbibe the necessary knowledge to be a Good Engineer. The faculty is reasonably good. The negatives of the college can be found in campus infrastructure and placement records. The placement offers particularly to cater BE Civil students are miniscule. Placements in other branches such as CS,IS,EC etc. are between Bad to average; Depending on the branch. To sum it up: Only prefer if you are confident of hunting down opportunities after completing BE, College wont be helpful to you in this mission.

My 4 year Experience in Dr.AIT

Batch of 2013 | B.Tech Instrumentation Technology
Dr.Ambedkar Institute of Technology is government aided college in Bengaluru. The college is well connected with buses(Bus no:238 U & V) from Majestic and Yeshwantpur. The transportation to any part of the city from college campus is hassle free.It is difficult to travel somewhere after 8 pm from the college campus due to lack of buses. Talking about college's infrastructure, I feel the college location is really good. From the higher floor of the building, you can see the beautiful Bengaluru. The college campus is fine, not that great ! I did not like the idea of integrating the Diploma college in Engineering college campus. The huge playground is very poorly maintained by the college. When it comes to the canteen, it is worst. The quality and quantity of the food is poor. I prefer eating at a roadside restaurant than in canteen. The price of the food is overpriced and no concession for college students. There is one more small food stall inside campus called MTR.The owner of the stall is very rude including the workers. Coming to classrooms, I felt it is sufficient to accommodate 60 students in a class. However, in some departments having more than 120 intakes, it becomes very uncomfortable to adjust and teachers make students to sit 5 in a bench. The laboratories of my department are very poorly maintained with no equipment working. The toilets are not cleaned on a daily basis. About Academics, the teaching for 1 st year which is common to every engineering student was quite good. The classes and practical sessions were conducted well. The main issues are with laboratory staffs. These people are very rude and arrogant. They have no respect for any student. After the entry into the department,my experience was really bad about this college. The department staff have no teaching skills and even don't intend to help a student if he is poor in studies. A teacher even told a friend of mine that he will fail even before he attempted the exam, instead of motivating him.The staff has no coordination among each other. The lab coordinator expects from students to get output from the instruments which are in non-operational condition. This has been the case since more than 20 years in the department. There have been no changes made since then ! They have been failing some students who don't get output from these non-working instruments during final lab exams. How is one supposed to get from these? The lab instructor doesn't even teach on any concept on how we need to do and purpose of the experiment? They just expect us to do the experiment looking at the manual and get output. All the 3 years in the department was a nightmare for me ! I won't recommend anyone to join this department. About Placements, it is very poor as per autonomous status. There are only 2 companies who hire the maximum which are TCS and Tech Mahindra. If you don't get placed, don't keep any more hopes ! Placement staff charge Rs.3500 for placement training and Rs.5000 after getting placed, which are mandatory. What do you have to say about this? Over that, they even charge us for graduation ceremony too,wow ! Hostel facilities are pathetic. The rooms are cleaned with poor quality products producing foul smell all across the room. The rooms which were earlier used to accommodate only 3 students, now they are making 6 people to live in a room by installing bunk beds. The water supply was just for 4-5 hours a day and above water tank not cleaned for years. If you have any concern about your health, never eat in hostel's mess. The food is very unhygienic and they are involved in adulterating food with eating soda(bad for health). The hostel warden is very rude and never listen to students issue. Lack of security for hostelites ! I suggest students to live outside the campus. Verdict: This is an average college to study compared to other low class colleges.

Life at Ambedkar Institute

Posted on 04 Sep' 16 by naveen kumar n r
Batch of 2015 | B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
Dr. A.I.T situated in Bangalore, lets oneself expose to the fast moving generation of this age. Exposure to a variety of Industries nearby to college ( Peenya Industrial area) . If one has to do a project there are several opportunities for a person where he can curb his impulses. College placements are not so ok, with an average package ranging from 2.5-3.25lpa. Not every student gets placed in the college. Teachers are student friendly, many of them are also involved in research works where they make the students as their assistants in the project which will add to their resume. So I advise to the students to make effective utilization of the resources available

Good college actually ,Good place to learn , The infrastructure is Good, with well-Experienced faculty members. Bit Improvement to be made so tat students get exposed to the industrial activities . Placements are not that satisfactory . Better NonIT people should think about Placements as no company will approach, coming to enjoyment tats really cool u can have great fun. You'll b leaving out your college with great memories no doubt. And as the college is Govt. Aided the college fees is Less even the hostel fees affordable. Overall I will be preferring the college for admission.

Dr.Ambedkar Institute of Technology-resting on past laurels

Dr.Ambedkar Institute of technology is among some of the famous engineering colleges of Bangalore. Spread on a 23 acre campus,Dr.AIT as it is popularly known is an autonomous institution. The faculty is well trained and since the government is an aided college the students here are mostly native kannadigas. The teaching is average and placements are dwindling by the years...
