i joined this college with great hopes. All my hopes were annihilated when i entered it.first of all the quality of faculty is very poor ,you will not have freedom to owe your views, management is utterly organised,we had no principal for a semester, they want you to score marks marks marks and marks every time just to promote their college.no industrial visit since,no guest lectures .all my dreams were deprived

Best college life

The first thing which comes to mind about my college is an amazing atmosphere. It's much closer to the city so it's much easier to commute. Engineering is all about learning ourselves and the staffs from the college make it much easier. In a lot of colleges, there so many restrictions like boys and girls shouldn't talk to each other. But here that kind of restrictions are made. This makes is much easier for the to interact with each other once they enter IT life. Teachers constantly encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities. This will enable students to excel in multiple fields. There are so many biriyani shops near the college. So lunch is not an issue. The college buses are good but pricey. Bikes and cars are allowed with ample amount of parking space in and around the college.

There is no big difference between school and college life. College for 8 hours a day is kind of hectic. The college infrastructure is very poor, old fashioned. Most of the faculty are less experienced. Talking about attendance,we should maintain around 75 percent. The parking space is very less for cars. Learning is more theoretical than practical. industrial exposure is very less, few opportunities. Staffs are ill trained with no experiance. The college canteen is good, but can be maintained much better. Price cards can be reduced.

We have got experienced faculty. The college campus has shady trees and food and snacks at the food court and the canteen is delicious. The hostel inside the campus has all the facilities and is safe. There are umpteen books in the library. The laboratories and the equipment are well maintained and students are allowed to work in the laboratories even after the classes get over. Also, the college provides very good sports facilities too.

It is really worth of it. It has placements all over the year with additional training for value added courses etc. It has the separate building for each and every department which will give u the way of more information. It has to maintain a high-class ratio of the lab.

I Wanted to start off my PG career in a reputed College , so I chose this Easwari which comes under SRM brand and it has earned great values and reputation. As far now , placements are best in this college as they bring around 50 companies and they make sure that all eligible students get placed in a good company. Faculty People are so kind and friendly one's.

This college offers decent facilities with good academics. The USP of this college is that it is located within the city. Also it offers good freedom when compared with the other colleges. This gives us the time to go for other courses after college hours to improve ourselves. Overall this is a good college.

Nice college ... I have good memories with my class mates, friends and faculty. I can't say about college. Always positive and negative things are there in all colleges. One good thing is no need to travel so far from city. There is no ground to play any kind of sport but only two small court is there to play volleyball. It's most draw back for many student. if hostel students want to play on weekends. They can't play anything and It is important for some students and not for some people.

The four years engineering experience , just did not teach us to be an efficient engineer but a good person with interpersonal skills. It was second home, friends were extended family members. Lot of learning, good lab facility. My suggestion would be to set up a virtual lab which would give us more practical exposure. Placement cell is very active and nurtured us from first year itself and not just in third year which is an added advantage as a plant takes to set its roots firmly before becoming into a huge tree.

Batch of 2011 | BE Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
Life at Easwari Engineering College was absolutely one of the best years of my life. The main plus for the college is it is well within the city limits. Most of the engineering colleges in Chennai are located far from the city limits. As the college is well within the city the infrastructure is not that great when compared to other colleges. But still the college attracts students with its impeccable placement records and SRM brand.

My college, which is one of the best colleges presents within the city limits, is one of the top-ranked anna university affiliated colleges. My college is run by SRM management and hence infrastructure is very good. All top MNCs participate in the placement program and more than 90% of students get placed.

College life was the best

Posted on 15 Oct' 15 by Abbirami
Batch of 2014 | BE Computer Science and Engineering
As the title describes college life was the best. Yes, we did have strict rules like everyday tests and special classes if you fail in a exam. But now coming to think of it was not so bad. Currently am working in a IT sector. The only drawback which crosses my mind is that though we learnt computer science in college, everything was theory and the things which I learnt practically was very less.

A Good College within City Limits

Posted on 12 Oct' 15 by K.S.ARAVIND
Batch of 2012 | BE Electrical and Electronics Engineering
The college is present within the city which helps students to come on their own vehicles. There is no imposed rule to come by college bus. The college has several small canteens, which are not enough for the entire college (since lunch time is same for all). College is surrounded by lots trees adding Eco-Friendly values to it. The staffs are good enough to guide you with your syllabus but nothing innovative. College campus area is small(being within city). They have decent level of placements but the drawback is, it is mostly from IT companies. Very few Core companies turn up, with moderate salary packages forcing students to go with IT Companies. Coming to hostel, it is considered costly and not worth the money spent. The quality of food is not good. So many students avail PG near to college. This college is for those who would like to enjoy their college life without compromising on their academics.

My Experience in EEC

Batch of 2013 | BE Electrical and Electronics Engineering
My journey in Easwari Engineering was an awesome one. Right from the day one to my last day I enjoyed my life over there. It's one of the top colleges in chennai with faculties having vast knowledge and experience. I gained lot of experience from my college life and this helped me to be in position where I stand now currently. I would definitely recommend students to join my college in the future in order to excel in their career.

I enjoyed my college life to the core. Since, the college was located in city limit and college was so liberal in all kinds of aspects. The quality of faculty is too average. Students can live and enjoy the complete urban life. I will state one of very few Engineering colleges to be very liberal

Though the college has a good reputation among the self financing colleges in Chennai and enjoys the brand name of SRM, its not a good place for ppl who look for knowledge... To the management first comes money second their market name... To admissions they try to. Show results... Wen it does not come well.. They show case placement boards which s like a fiction movie for students looking at it

It was established in the year 1996 and is the group of SRM institutions. Easwari Engineering College is Ranked 38th among top 72 Private Engineering Colleges in the South Zone. Placements have been pretty decent in recent years. The companies that have visited for placement are Honeywell, CTS, TCS, Dell, Accenture etc. But there is scope only for IT. No matter what department you get in you will end up as a software engineer...!!

Inside the city easy to commute and good placement record

Ramaa

"Located in a fairly prime area of Ramapuram which is close to Nandambakkam, Porur and Valasaravakkam areas of Chennai city, Easwari engineering college was previously known as SRM- Easwari ( as it is a part of SRM Group of Institutions) was renamed as Easwari Engineering College after its affiliation to Anna University. Easwari engineering college has a good record of placements and university medalists. It is most famous for Electronics and Instrumentation Department- the department that boasts of multiple Anna University gold medalists over the years. There are also numerous Rank Holders every year from other departments. Placements wise, the major recruiters are TCS, WIPRO and HCL who recruit in large numbers. Mechanical department has a few companies that recruit exclusively for them and they are the likes of Titan Industries. Honeywell India Limited is a regular recruiter and the placement happens in pooled campus basis for instrumentation department. The campus has rich greenery and the campus life is fun, with healthy interaction between seniors and juniors. The campus is ragging proof. The campus has a basket ball court, volley ball and throw ball court. A significant portion of fresh graduates move on to pursue MS or MBA immediately after graduation both in India and abroad but the faculty also encourage a lot of extra curricular activities. Many of the alumni are well recognized and established in various fields like cinematography and film making. The college boasts of 2 cultural events- Swagat- talent hunt among freshers and Talentia- The annual inter department cultural fest. The college provides Bus facilities to all day scholars residing at all parts of the city."
