Farooqia Women’s Polytechnic, Mysore being an affiliated college was set up in 1992 in Mysore, Karnataka. This women’s university is also recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to show its dedication to imparting technical education. The polytechnic occupies a small piece of land of about two acres, and offers three dipoma courses with a total enrolment of 34 students. Institute has a faculty of 14 professional teachers who can equally focus on each student and his/ her needs. The institution of Farooqia Women’s Polytechnic is actually focused on Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Apparel Design and Fabrication Technology to cater the need of young woman engineers in different technical fields.

Farooqia Women’s Polytechnic, boasts of effectively equipped facilities that supports its student’s learning process. The centre of the institute comprises a vast library stocked with a rich lot of books, references, technical journals and magazines. They consider it as a knowledge centre because it provides students with necessary knowledge that is important in development of their academic careers. The institute boasts of good information technology facilities which prepares the students for any IT trends. Owned science, Electronics, computer, fashion tech labs, which provide practical knowledge and also minimise the gap between concept and practicality. Regarding the physical growth the college has both indoor and outdoor sport amenities to make students fit as well as academical.

Farooqia Women’s Polytechnic has Three diploma Programmes offered for, which are full time programmes, each spanning three years. The diploma courses offered are: Diploma in Computer Science Engineering. Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Diploma in Apparel Design and Fabrication Technology.
