Global Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vellore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

A separate hostel accommodation is provided for boys.The hostel can accommodate around 500 boy students. Single room accommodation is given to the final year and PG students. The mess facility with a dining hall is provided in the hostel.

A separate hostel accommodation is provided for girls. The hostel can accommodate around 200 girl students. Global Institute of Engineering and Technology Vellore girls hostel facilities include comfortable rooms, spacious mess with a dining hall and kitchen, 24*7 security availability and some other facilities.

GIT Vellore medical facilities are provided to all the students, staff and faculty at no cost. There is a health centre which is managed by a medical officer and a healthcare assistant. The health centre has a separate inpatient facility for male and female students. The vaccinations and yearly checks ups are done at this health centre.

GIT Vellore provides gym facilities to the students. The gym is well-equipped with the required equipment. Gym timings are flexible. Students can go to the gym either in the morning or in the evening.

GIT Vellore library facilities are provided to both students and staff members. The library consists of around 52,600 volumes of text books, reference books, national and international journals in all branches.  The library has subscribed to 5943 Journals of which 5713 are International journals and 230 are National Journals.

Global Institute of Engineering and Technology Vellore sports facilities are provided to the students. These sports facilities support both indoor and outdoor sports. Students are encouraged to take part in various sports activities.

The best-in-class I.T infrastructure facilities are provided to the students. As part of I.T infrastructure facilities, the college has more than 300 Desktop PCs / Laptops with an internet connection. The classrooms and seminar halls are equipped with interactive panels, smartboards, Lecture capturing system and also LCD projectors to deliver presentations.

The cafeteria facilities are provided to both students and staff. The cafeteria provides only vegetarian food. The food provided is prepared hygienically. A separate mess is provided for boys. A subsidised mess is also operative in the campus.

The auditorium facility is provided to the students. The academic events and cultural events such as conferences, seminars, workshops, graduation ceremonies, orientation programmes and guest lectures are organised and celebrated in the auditorium.

A full fledged Transport department functions in the college. The transport facility is provided to both students and staff coming from various places in the city. The college provides hassle-free and safe transportation. The number of buses will be increased corresponding to the increase in the intake of students.

The wifi facility is provided in the entire campus for the benefit of students and faculty. The wifi facility is available 24*7. The students and faculty can avail internet connection from anywhere in the campus. 

The college has laboratories which are equipped with the latest instruments and machines. These laboratories provide an opportunity for students to learn theoretical concepts in a practical way and gain hands-on experience.

Global Institute of Engineering and Technology Vellore provides guest room facility to both family members of students and visiting faculty. All the required amenities are provided in the guest room.
