Government Polytechnic Dharmavaram has a training and placement cell to conduct campus placements. The Government Polytechnic Dharmavaram placement cell interacts and communicates with past and potential recruiters and invites them to conduct on-campus interviews.
Govt. Polytechnic, Dharmavaram also conducts pre-placement talks, prepares students for aptitude/technical tests, personal interviews/ group discussions, and provides training for communication skills as well. Every year, a significant number of students complete their Diplomas and secure employment in various industries, companies, and organisations through the Government Polytechnic Dharmavaram placement cell. They can either get hired through on-campus or off-campus placements.

In the academic year 2022-2023, 32 Government Polytechnic Dharmavaram, AP students from a Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a Diploma in Computer Engineering courses were selected by TE Connectivity (DEUTSCH Port Connectors) Bangalore in a Government Polytechnic Dharmavaram placement drive.
