Government Polytechnic for Women, Palamaner, which is a constituent college in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh was established in the year 1985. The women's college gained the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute provides diploma courses mainly in various fields of engineering. Spread over an enormous 8.6-acre campus, the polytechnic enrols a total of 593 students. The institute has a faculty strength of 19. Four diploma courses offered by the institute cater to the technical education of only female students in different engineering fields.

Government Polytechnic for Women, Palamaner offers four full-time diploma courses which last for three years. The total intake all under taken courses is 240 seats, and 60 seats in every programme will be offered. The courses include Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Diploma in Commercial and Computer Practice Engineering. These courses give students the new vision of their specific areas of engineering and continue preparing them for successful careers in the engineering sector.
