Idhaya Engineering College for Women, Villupuram Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college hostel is a secured shelter for students, hygienically prepared food served by kind-hearted Sisters. A declaration agreeing to abide by the rules and regulations of the hostel has to be signed by the students and countersigned by the parent/guardian. On admission, the student will be allotted a room by the hostel authorities. These allocations to the room shall be subject to change at any time, for administrative reasons. Students shall occupy only the rooms allotted by the authority and shall not shift to any other room of their choice.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

IECW Library is housed in an area of 2500 sq. ft. There is a congenial atmosphere for users. With the generous contribution by the Management and the special interest taken by the Principal, the Library is being equipped steadily and systematically. Our college Library is well equipped in terms of the number of books, back volumes, and current journals subscribed to. The use and services of our College Library are only for our students and staff members. The collection of the library includes books, journals, reports, standards, and the other richest collections in the field of Science and Technology.

The Central Library has a collection of over 24500 documents covering all disciplines of Science, Engineering, and Technology. The collection comprises books, conference proceedings, back volumes, standards, atlases, audio/video cassettes, CD-ROMS, etc. The Central library currently subscribes to DELNET-IESTC e-journals as per AICTE referenced packages in the field of Science, Engineering, and Technology.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college labs are networked and managed by 8 High-End Servers on a High-Speed LAN. The computer labs are kept open from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm for the benefit of the students. The laboratory is equipped with the latest software and hardware platforms. It supports various programming languages, RDBMS, Operating Systems, and Multimedia Software.
