Amity University Noida MBA Admissions 2025
ApplyAmongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings)
Hello Aspirant
The admission in SASTRA University is based upon two streams:
Stream 1: 75% marks of class 12 boards and 25% marks of JEE mains is considered for ranking.
70% of the seats get filled with this stream.
As your percentile I'm JEE Mains is less, your rank will get increased.
If your class 12th percentage is around 90-95% and 80% in JEE Mains then you have good chances to get into SASTRA University.
Stream 2: Your rank is calculated based upon your class 12 percentage only.
30% seats get filled with this stream.
Since the number of seats is less will this stream, the competition is very high. To get into SASTRA through this stream, you need more than 95% in your class 12th boards.
As your percentage in class 12 boards as well as in JEE Mains 2021 are good, so you have good chances to get into CSE branch from SASTRA University.
Hope this helps
All the best

Hope this is helpful to you,
Thank you.
Hello,
75% weightage is given for marks scored in EAMCET and 25% weightage is given for marks scored in GROUP subjects in 10+2 level. The marks scored in EAMCET will be normalized as the examination will be conducted in multiple session. The normalized score depends on the highest score in the exam, total number of candidates appeared, marks scored in individual subject etc. 75% of the normalized score and 25% marks out of 600 marks will be added to derive the combined score and that score is used to assign the rank.

Hello Aspirant,
See there is no percentage criteria to appear for JEE-Main but yes if you are seeking admission through JOSAA or CSAB counselling then you need at least 75% marks in your IPE or 10+2 or you should be in the top 20 percentile of your board's result. However, the criteria was lifted off for Academic year 2021-22 but for 2022-23 Academic year, there is no any notification stating whether the criteria would be restored or not. Most probably the criteria would not be restored as most of the schools have opened recently and in some states the schools are again getting closed due to multiple reasons so we have to wait for any official notification for JEE-Main 2022, till then it is not possible to assure you anything.
Also there are some criterion which you need to satisfy in order to appear for JEE-Main so let us discuss them.
1--- There is no age limit to appear in JEE-Main but note that there might be the age limit in any particular institution taking admission through JEE-Main score, so you should keep this thing in mind.
2--- To be eligible for JEE-Main one should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject from any of the recognized central or state board.
3--- For JEE-Main 2022 only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022; or those who will be appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2022, would be eligible to appear.
So if you follow all above criterion then you are definitely eligible for JEE-Main.

Dear Sathvik,
In accordance with the rules and regulation set by MHRD any candidate who wishes to be eligible for admission into NITs need to secure a minimum percentage of 75% and also you need to have 75% on aggregate in PCM(physics, chemistry and mathematics). But if you do not obtain that percentage you need to try other colleges. Hope this helps.
It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/FEMALES/OBC category is lower than the general category
However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced
But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly
For the college preferences and the courses provided by these colleges and to know which colleges participate in the JOSAA counselling, please go to the below mentioned link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-participating-institutes/amp
