Hello Abhishek,
The below given placement information is based on the review taken by the passed out Biotech students from this college
The placement record is good. Recruitment of core profiles is poor. The college will give placement training from the 5th semester. Each company follows different criteria for selection. Both on-campus and off-campus placements are available. CSE and IT departments are given the first preference. Even other department students get placed in software companies.

For take admission in this college, you have to appear in TNEA exam.
Jeppiaar Engineering College offers B.E, B.Tech, M. E, M.Tech, MBA and MCA UG and PG courses.
For admission to B.Tech & B.E courses, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is conducted by Anna University.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 from Tamil Nadu are eligible for TNEA.
Applicants belonging to Tamil Nadu only will be considered for admission. However, children of Central Government employees not domiciled in Tamil Nadu have to provide a valid certificate of their parents who have been serving continuously for more than five years at the time of submission of application.
To secure admission in M.E/M.Tech/MBA/MCA programs, students have to qualify Tamil Nadu Common Entrance (TANCET) followed by central counselling conducted by Tamil Nadu state.
Thank you.
I have a dream to study in your college. My percentage in 12 is 77 can I have a chance to join in your college. I want to take b.tech in mec
Dear Aspirant, Percentage of class 12th are not important anymore in respect to getting admission in an engineering college. However, above 65% is safe, for some state colleges might not entertain below that threshold.
Now, to pursue B.Tech in India from MECHANICAL ENGINEERING or any other stream, You first has to give JEE examination. JEE is conducted in two phases, one in January and other in April. A Student can give any one or both of them depending upon what suits them, but only 3 attempts are allowed, so use them wisely.
JEE-MAIN targets all the NITs, GFTIs and various other state government technical colleges. This exam is conducted by NTA( National Testing Agency ) . This exam consists of 90 questions worth 360 total marks divided into three sections of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics each carrying equal weightage i.e, 120 marks.
IMPORTANT DATES:-
Online submission of forms:
- 01.09.201X to 30.09.201X(Jan attempt)
- 08.02.201X to 07.03.201X(April attempt)
Date of examination:
- Between 06.01.2019 (Sunday) to 20.01.2019 (Sunday)(Jan attempt)
- Between 06.04.2019 (Sunday), to 20.04.2019 (Saturday)(April attempt)
RESULT:
- by 31st January(Jan attempt)
- by 30th April(April attempt)
Cutoff for the exam is as follows(NOTE: These are not exactly the same every year and may vary with the level of difficulty of the exam, however, these are quite close approximations from last few years' trends):
- GENERAL: 100
- OBC-NCl: 70
- SC/ST: 40
However, to get a good college(like NITs) one must at least secure 170+ marks. After results, NTE declares rank list in the month of June and students can then apply for various technical institutes all around the country according to their marks and preferences. Earlier this rank list depends upon the 12th percentage too but from 2017 rank is independent of 12th percentage. Depending upon your rank and your preference order you'll be allotted a college.
NOTE: Only the students who clear the cutoff of JEE-MAIN are eligible for JEE-ADVANCED.
NOTE: Counselling is not a one time process and continues for up to four rounds. If you are not satisfied with the college fills the counseling for the next round.
NOTE: official website of JEE is:-
