College Infrastructure
JJCET is spread on acres of land, with good infrastructure in terms of classrooms, labs and spacious libraries. The facilities for computer science, mechanical and electronics are good enough for what you can expect in Trichy. The large ground and multiple sport grounds offer a space for athletically inclined students. Hostel rooms and food are fairly okay with plenty of space and ventilation.
Academics
The first year training in general engineering concepts, basic language and extra curricular activities like fine arts, literature or yoga are exceptionally good, at least it was when I studied there. The higher year teaching, especially in electronics, instrumentation and electrical concepts was not great, but it depends on the student to dive into the referred texts, books and use the available library resources, IEEE papers, NPTEL materials to excel in core technology.
Placements
During my four-year experience, the campus placements in Trichy for second-tier colleges was generally very poor. Only few software companies recruited hand-picked students, about 16 from 360 in our batch. This was quite a tough scenario. Again, a lot of the students, took up extra professional training, joined core companies through career fairs and through online job portals. The salary package was around 3-4 LPA which around the 2012 time was decent.
Value-for-money
If you joined a seat via Anna University counseling, a year's fee is the recommended structure set by the Anna University Affiliated college fee structure. It is pretty nominal and many middle class students are able to afford or go for a low-interest student loan. Management students would have to pay slightly extra which was also okay.
Campus Life
The best things about the college are its green buildings, multitude of buses, excellent fine arts club and friendly staff. The teachers are most welcome to feedback, help students on an individual basis, and don't treat them too harsh like they do in most colleges in trichy. If a student is highly motivated, they will do well in this college. The worst thing that can be said is that the college is not up to the mark with campus placements, or good technical background.
Anything Else
I had a wonderful time in this college and met most of my life-long friends here. The staff also encouraged me with kind words and motivated me to study post graduation.

It's nice to study in this college. It has a Very good infrastructure, highly qualified lectures, and a lot of sports activities to participate in. The swimming pool, badminton court, cricket field and tennis courts are of very high standards. And this college we do things technically and we are professionally developing and we go for an industrial visit, our college campus and placement cell are very good.

Good college with decent infrastructure. Though it has been established 20 years before the college still finds to bring placements for the core departments. Mostly BPO and startups visit the campus for placements. The faculties are well experienced and have good teaching skills. I recommend only for students with low academic marks.

I studied Mechanical Engineering. For a Mechanical Engineering course we basically need a good infrastructure will all equipped machines for a brief practical exposure. In that region JJCET has a very good infrastructure with respect to this course. More than that, they promote innovative ideas and appreciate students to participate in more extra co-curricular events which are very valuable towards the end. The freedom they give if utilized properly, one can have a very great career. But with regards to placements, as all other colleges of that region, it also has problems with Mechanical as a core. There is only one canteen available inside. But at the same time, we have a few small hotels outside, which are good. The transport facility from Trichy is very frequent for this college. The college has one huge auditorium and 3-4 conference halls. They have a very powerful Entrepreneurship Development Cell - 'Swayam', inside the campus, which encourages student start-ups on campus and off campus. In Trichy, JJCET is the only college to have more than 5 student start-ups off which two have transformed into huge start-up. Their EDC is in collaboration with NEN and has proved a great deal for the past two years. There are many clubs running inside and technical committees existing proving huge space for development in Entrepreneurship and Research. Finally, if the student can shape them-self-confidently, JJCET can help them in much way.

I'm doing B.E CSE in this college which has been running for more than 20 years. Found at 1994, The college started very well. But as days passed by, everything depleted. Poor faculty! Out of 10 staffs 3 will be better teaching staffs. Some of them claim that they're experienced for 7,8 years. But actually they're so pathetic, some of them can't even communicate properly. Management of the college itself is very poor. No transparency in the fees transaction too. They wouldn't give you a bill/receipt for a fee that you've paid. For example, the exam fees is 1500, but they charge 1650, when we asked about what that 150 is for, they said it was for marksheet, but they won't give a bill for the same. PS marksheet fees was collected separately. The main Principal of the college itself is very poor. His language is very pathetic. No more college day fests, no more industry visits. Hostel food is very poor and the quantity they make is not sufficient for everyone to eat. If you go late by 10 minutes, the food will be over, you've to rot. They claim to have wifi connection facility but actually it won't work for most of the time, even if it does, poor speed. But the surface area of the college is very vast, a better management team should be appointed, so that they can utilize everything available. Overall don't waste your money by joining this college! Make it your last option.!
