JSS Polytechnic, Mysuru was started in the year 1986 and is one among the most renowned polytechnic in the cultural city of Mysuru, Karnataka. Established three decades ago, this affiliated college occupies a vast 14.8263-acre campus and is committed to building a future for eager young engineers. Recognised by AICTE from the academic year 2000-2001, JSS Polytechnic has grown into an institution that offers a combination of diploma courses for a variety of engineering branches. With a total of 765 student enrollments and faculty of 43 the institute provides equal opportunity in the class with student teacher ratio of 17:01.

This institute boasts of offer resource endowment in line with modern learning to serve its students. The resourced rich library caters for knowledge needs by providing books as well as other academic needs for scholarly endeavours. Departmental laboratories providing modem equipage facilitates students to conduct practicals experience in application of theoretical knowledge in practical life. To enhance the student’s development JSS Polytechnic has amenities such as cafeteria; sports; and gym among others. JSS Polytechnic at Mysuru currently offers a total of seven diploma courses that are all regular programs taking three academic years to complete. These programmes are spread all over the spectrum of engineering disciplines and mostly are designed to meet varying interests of the candidates and career objectives. The intake capacity of the institute has been approved as 320 seats for all programmes put together. The diploma programmes available are civil engineering, computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering, electrical and electronics engineering information technology, mechanical engineering and mechanical electronics engineering. Each of these programmes are aims at offering students adequate knowledge in their areas of specialty in order to fit in various careers within the growing technology sector.
