Karnataka Government Polytechnic, Mangalore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college offers a hostel facility for the boys coming from far places. The KPT Mangalore hostel facility provides a Warden, who is a full-time lecturer of the polytechnic. The warden is guided by the Principal. The clerical work of the hostel is being carried out by a clerical staff on a part-time basis. Admission is given to any regular student of the Polytechnic, with preference given to those who come from long distances.

The college has provided a full-fledged library comprising books related to general and technical education for our students. Students are provided with 2 library cards to borrow books. Students belonging to the SC and ST categories get the benefit of borrowing additional books. In addition, KPT Mangalore library facility also provides technical and non-technical books, a good number of magazines and journals are also available. The provision for reading inside the library is provided for the students to sit comfortably and study.

The college offers excellent opportunities for sports and games. There is a spacious ground used for athletics and games. The KPT Mangalore facility offers a sports room available for playing table tennis, and Facilities are available for indoor games. Facilities are available for playing table tennis and badminton. Polytechnic participates in the state-level inter-polytechnic sports meet and has excelled consistently.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. KPT Mangalore facility provides wireless LAN connectivity, and apart from providing a lifelong web-based email account, the intranet also has facilities for online testing, discussion boards, and courseware exchanges.

The college has more than 20 Laboratories set up for all branches to fulfill the needs of practically oriented diploma technical education. The college has two hostels for girls, to provide accommodation for the students coming from far-off places. The Hostel is managed by a warden who is a full-time lecturer of the Polytechnic. KPT Mangalore girls' hostel facility provides a neat and clean environment with fully furnished rooms.
