Course Overview

India is starting to emerge as a global economy. The globalisation has caused a surge in demand for electronic products. Many industries have been set up in the Electronics sector due to the National Policy on Electronics and the Government’s Make in India initiative. That, in turn, has significantly increased the demand for a skilled workforce in the Electronics Board Design domain. The Certificate Course on Processor-Based System Design allows students to excel in embedded system applications.

After completing this course, learners will be skilled in developing a 32-bit processor-based embedded product for the desired application. The Certificate Course on Processor-Based System Design programme aims to help learners acquire the competency required to design and develop embedded systems.

The Certificate Course on Processor-Based System Design training emphasises more on practice than theory. Towards the end of the curriculum, there is a group project wherein learners will have to develop a complete embedded-based electronic product that solves a real-life problem that the industry, especially a startup, might face. For SC/ST students admitted under the SCSP/TSP, there is no tuition fee.

Eligibility Criteria

Students from the following degrees are eligible for the Certificate Course on Processor-Based System Design: B.E./B. Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Biomedical, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication (EC), Electrical and Electronics. Furthermore, applicants with M. Sc. or Diploma in EEE/EI, Instrumentation, Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science can also apply. As the number of seats available is limited, candidates may or may not be selected. The selection will depend on their score in the qualifying degree exam.
