Kodad’s Sana Polytechnic, which was commenced in 1997, is one of the leading technical colleges located in Telangana, India. Set up in 1991 near Vijayawada-Hyderabad Highway, this college is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University Kakinada and is committed to creating the future engineers. Operating under the umbrella of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Sana Polytechnic provides a wide choice of diploma courses as per different branches of engineering. The faculty comprises 113 committed professionals; the primary aim of the institute is to provide quality technical education for the students.

The college has equipped learning resources intended to boost the learning process of their learners; this is as follows:. At the centre of these amenities is a modern, fully automated, computerised library. These include 18,784 books and ninety journal subscriptions that deal with a broad range of engineering disciplines. Fully operational from 9 in the morning to 7 in the evening, it operates as a library/meeting place for self-tuitions as well as a research center where students can further enhance their depth of concepts and appreciate new innovations in a particular field. For students interested in sports and physical activities, the Sana Polytechnic provides a plethora of options. This college has playgrounds for all major sports like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, cricket, and even table tennis. Scheduled sports events and intercollegiate competitions are conducted to raise the competitive spirit of students. Further, it has equipped adequate laboratories for each of the departments to make the students’ learning more practically along with the theoretical sessions. Sana Polytechnic, Kodad, has a total of six full-time diploma programmes, all of which take three years to complete. These courses are offered for various branches of engineering with the objective of preparing students for a sound foundation in their respective fields. The institute has good strength as far as student intake capacity is concerned, with a total 840 seats available in different courses. This comprises 240 for a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, 240 for a Diploma in Mining Engineering, 120 seats each for a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Diploma in Civil Engineering, 60 each for a Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering and a Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
