SBM Engineering College offers the infrastructure necessary for a balanced practical life as well as complete professional training and personal fulfillment. SBM Hostel is located on the college premises and can accommodate 700 students. Discipline is the foundation of the hostel. The hostel provides a serene atmosphere for studying and the overall development of students. Separate hostels are provided with well-furnished, ventilated, and necessary amenities for boys students. These include indoor games, a reading room, and audio-video facilities. The hostel mess provides delicious, nutritious food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.

The college has a Health Centre here at SBM that is well-equipped. It has a separate inpatient facility for male and female students. The health center provides quality health care in a comfortable and confidential environment. The center has 6 beds and an adequately supplied medicine cabinet. The health center is manned by a medical officer and a healthcare assistant to provide excellent medical care to all the students, staff, and faculty. The Medical Officer, Dr.BALAGURU M.B.B.S., D.P.M., manages the various aspects of the facility. He provides quality health care to everyone, evaluates the quality of services, maintains the overall efficiency of the center, and decides the procedures to be followed in case of an emergency. Also, vaccinations and yearly check-ups are done at this facility. In the future, we look forward to expanding and bringing in high-tech medical equipment to better serve the students of our college.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college Library was established in the year June 2009 and was housed in a huge hall with more than 50000 books to start with. It is privileged to support the institute's march towards its vision “Stay Ahead”. The Library is well equipped with modern digital facilities & resources in the form of CD-ROMs. Online databases, audio-video cassettes, books, journals, etc. The Library transaction and library entries are carried out by Barcode Technology. It has the facility for Web OPAC online search. So the library catalog can be accessed through an intranet, in the future through the internet. And the Library is being subscribed to INDEST AICTE- CONSORTIUM and utilizing the E-resources

The college was privileged to conduct the Anna University Zone 17 Kabaddi tournament in our college premises with floodlights. Anna University appreciated our college for organizing a tournament in our college with good hospitality. We got privileged to conduct the School divisional Kabaddi tournament on our College premises. As far as sports are concerned, healthy competitions prevailed among the students in the intramurals. All the students were grouped Department-wise under different departments, namely EEE, ECE, MECHANICAL, CIVIL, and COMPUTER SCIENCE. Various events have been conducted.

The college has Four Computer Labs with 200 computers exclusively for the CSE Department. Our computer lab is highly configured and networked. We have the latest HP servers and Software, including Rational Rose, a Licensed Microsoft Campus Agreement, Licensed has Windows, MS Office, SQL servers, and MSDN/VB/VC++. Open Source we have Linux OS, Ubuntu, Java, J2SE, JVM, Eclipse, C, C++, NS2, Agro UML, CISCO packet tracer, and a Web server.8 Mbps Vodafone internet facilities with Wi-Fi campus networking. Our laboratories act as ideal training grounds for the budding professionals, which allow them to experiment and bring to practice what they have learned in classrooms. Our laboratories pave the way for our students to observe, Experiment, analyze, and come up with logical conclusions. The laboratories create inquisitiveness among students and encourage them to come up with new ideas and solutions.

The college has A Cafeteria functioning inside the college premises for the benefit of students & staff. The Cafeteria has been well planned and laid out in the midst of a verdure lawn and beautifully landscaped. The spacious, airy, and trendy canteen offers ample scope for students to break free from their arduous schedules and enjoy appetizing food in an extremely casual yet pleasant ambiance. Quality vegetarian food prepared in a hygienic environment to suit diverse taste buds is provided in the Cafeteria. All bakery items, such as cakes, bread, cream buns, puffs, ice-creams, will be available for the whole day. There is a separate counter to provide fresh fruit juices prepared on demand. The canteen is kept open on working days from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has 70 new buses which are made available to the students and the faculty members who reside in various points in the city, and also from Battlagundu, Guziliyamparai, Madurai, Naval Nagar, Natham, Oddanchathiram, Palani bypass, Palani gate, Sengurichi, Thadicombu, Vadamadurai, Vedasandur, Vaiyampatti to the college and back on all working days both in the morning and evening time. The buses are operated in and around Dindigul. The speedometer is attached to all the buses, which limits the speed. All these buses have an emergency exit window and a first aid box. All the drivers are well-experienced. All the buses reach the campus before 8.55 a.m., so the students and faculty can get ready to attend the classes at 9.15 a.m. The buses leave the campus at 4.30 p.m., which helps all the students to reach home early and safely.

The college has “Alumni,” which is a generic term that describes all those who have spent time studying at a particular institution. It is a lifetime relationship with continued interest, interaction, and involvement with one’s Alma mater. Alumni stand strong to prove the success of the college and its efforts. The alumni association of SBM Engineering College was started in the year 2013. It was started with the motive of bringing together all the Alumni and sharing the experiences they faced outside the college, and also extending their helping hands from all aspects for the budding engineers of the college.
