SDIT Mangalore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a boys' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. The hostels are provided with comfortable rooms with attached bathrooms, adequate furniture, appropriate lighting, and ventilation, round-the-clock hot water, hygienic food, and an information center where the students have access to TV and newspapers. A hygienic mess caters to the nutritional requirements of the students.

SDIT Mangalore also has a good girls hostel with facilities similar to that of boys hostel. It has round-the-clock warden and security guard facilities for the students. 

SDIT Mangalore has medical room facilities for the students to provide them with immediate first aid services. It is equipped with a trained doctor and nursing staff.

The College has a library with an open access system and maintains author, title, subject, and series catalogs to provide multiple accesses to the books. There are  around 2684 titles, 16918 books, and 76 National and 76 International Journals in engineering. There are 550 titles, 2832 books, and 24 National, and 12 International Journals in the MBA. There are 386 titles, 2323 books, and 24 National and 12 International Journals in MCA. Books on Engineering, Management, and Computer Applications are available along with the ones prescribed by the university. About 1000 books are added each year on account of advancement in the fields of these subjects. The library also hosts books on allied subjects and general studies. 

The college provides adequate facilities for sporting activities that are necessary to encourage the all-round development of the students. The college sports teams have represented the college in various state and national-level competitions and have brought home laurels. The college also hosts a state-level, intercollegiate tournament which is very popular with the student fraternity.

The institute also has well-established IT infrastructure with advanced computers and internet facilities. It helps the students to access the digital resources.

The auditorium is used for seminars, cultural programmes, and hosting academic events. It has enough seating capacity to accommodate the whole college students and staff.

SDIT Mangalore offers good transportation facilities with its own fleet of buses and cabs. It reduces the dependency of the students on public transport. 

The institute also has modern laboratories that provide students with hands-on-knowledge of the theoretical concepts learned during the lectures. SDIT Mangalore laboratories are well-maintained and equipped with modern equipment.

SDIT Mangalore guest room facilities offer a stay facility for visiting faculty members and guests. These rooms provide a comfortable stay within the campus.

The College has successfully placed all eligible interested candidates of Engineering, MBA, and MCA for the current academic year through the ongoing campus placements. In the year 2016 – 427+ offer letters were given, In the year 2017 – 452+ offer letters were given, In the year 2018 – 461+ offer letters were given, In the year 2019 – 480+ offer letters were given and In the year 2020 – 492+ offer letters were given to our students with most of the eligible students being successfully placed in various reputed companies
