Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Vishnupuri Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College hostel has five buildings on the hostel campus. Those are named Sahyadri and Nandgiri for the boys' hostel. The students are provided with basic amenities like a cot, table, chair, cupboard, and fan in their rooms. The rooms are spacious, airy, and illuminated. Students' common rooms/dining halls have TV sets. A 24-hour water supply is provided to all hostels. A generator is being added to ensure supply to messes and common rooms of the girl's hostel. The hostel campus maintenance like cleaning/sweeping, electrical repairs, and security services are outsourced. An electrician on campus for 24 hours is available. The hostel houses about 600 boys.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The institute has a well-equipped gymnasium whose built-up area is approximately 1250 sq. ft. There is a gym instructor for students and staff. There is a permanent caretaker of the gymnasium. An annual budget of Rs 1.5 lakhs (approx.) is available for the maintenance of the gymnasium.

The College Library is situated in a separate two-storied block of 12400 sq. ft. surrounded by a lush green area. It began its existence in 1981. It has an ample stock of 55,396 books and 3959 bound volumes of National and International journals. 72 National and 59 International journals are subscribed currently which facilitates research in our institute. It is the most lively place on the campus providing a safe, comfortable, and friendly environment that enables learning and advancement of knowledge and promotes innovation.

The College has sports facilities for outdoor games like cricket, 400 m running track, football, basketball, volleyball, handball, lawn tennis, mala kamb, double bar, single bar, roman ring, kabaddi, kho-kho and indoor games like Table- Tennis, Chess, carom.

The College has 152 desktop machines and three Servers with state-of-the-art configurations to cater to the needs of software development and programming. All the computers are well connected to the Intranet and Internet with the help of Ethernet Backbone Switches. The Facility is powered with 4 Single-phase 5 KVA UPS and three Servo Stabilizer.  

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has a Seminar Hall of different capacities in addition to a common auditorium and open-air theater as a central facility. These may be utilized by any department depending on availability and requirements for the conduct of guest lectures, workshops, training, and similar curricular co-curricular and other activities. 

The Institute has a fleet of 7 buses to provide to-and-fro transportation from all major parts of Nanded city and for industrial visits. These buses ply from morning to evening as per the Institute time schedule.

The institute is having an Alumni meet is being conducted every year to build a strong alumni network through registered alumni association SEAA 

The institute is Wi-Fi enabled for all the students and faculty. 

The Institute has Media and Language Laboratory for the last 20 years. Students taking admissions are mostly from the vernacular language in their schooling. Campus recruitment companies also gave feedback many times that students are technically sound and need training in professional communication and soft skills. A compulsory course in Professional Communication/Communication skills is a part of the curriculum for a long. Students are trained using software tools available open-source for the purpose. A diagnostic test is conducted immediately after the FY admissions to identify students and their needs in understanding the English Language. Special attention is given to students who are weak in English by the teachers for their improvements.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has Motive of the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.
