The College has one of the most extensive nautical libraries in the country, which also houses an IT resource centre. There are significant collections of books, journals, videos, DVDs and other multimedia material searchable from the Library catalogue, which fully support students with their maritime study programmes.

The college has Residences Network (Resnet) has been created to give access to the college campus Local Area Network (LAN) to students living in the Student Residences. All study bedrooms have Wi-Fi data access provision. Reset is not a dial-up service using a modem. Reset is a high-speed Wi-Fi network service providing an 'always connected directly to the study bedroom. Students with a suitable computer (ie, one with a Wi-Fi network adapter installed) can register with Resnet once they have moved into the residence. Connection to Resnet will enable students to use the following services: Browse the internet Send and receive emails (samsmarine.org email accounts only) Log on to the Portal, the College student intranet Access other educational resources, such as the library catalog and online learning resources Further developments of Resnet are also being planned and will be made available to students when suitable testing has been done. Although Resnet is primarily intended to help with academic work, modest personal use is also permitted.

The college has a spacious, well-furnished, hygienic dining hall, which can accommodate 500 candidates at a time is available. The kitchen is maintained by well-trained chefs with a focus on quality, taste, and hygiene. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is served. A combination of both South Indian and North Indian delicacies is served on a rotation basis. The 500-seat galley is open to all students but primarily for cadets living on campus in our residential accommodation. It is open Monday to Friday 7 am – 7 pm and at weekends 11 am – 7 pm, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All meals are made and prepared on campus by our talented team of chefs using only fresh and local ingredients.

The college provides laboratories for thermodynamics, mechanical, and control engineering experiments. There is also a specialized control laboratory for electronic navigational systems operations and the maintenance of radars, navigational aids, and control systems.
