Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering and Technology, Chennai Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The boys hostel is 9567 sq.m. in size having 167 rooms with accommodation for 4  students in each room. A separate reading area for students, as well as a gym and entertainment facilities, are accessible. In addition, hostellers have easy access to a computer and internet facility.

Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering and Technology has a separate girls hostel with 79 rooms at the campus. Each room comprises 4 students. Apart from that, there is a reading room and recreation rooms.

The institute has a library with a reference section, magazine section, and stack area that is situated in a 500-square-metre space that is completely automated and air-conditioned. More than 35970 books and reference volumes are currently piled for the use of employees and students. A media resource centre has been built. The library operates on an open access basis and encourages students to peruse the stacks. An audio-visual department with videocassettes and CDs is available in the library. A Xerox machine has been set up at the library for making copies.

The college has both indoor and outdoor sports facilities at the campus for students. Students are encouraged to organise and engage in a variety of events in order to improve their health

Sree Sastha Institute of Engineering and Technology alumni association was established in the year 2003. Alumni Association creates and maintains a life-long connection between the Institute and its alumni. There are more than 5500 alumni at present. The Alumni Association works towards connecting alumni, supporting students and building an unforgettable Institute experience through conducting various events, programming and services. The mission of the Association is to foster strong bonds between alumni, students and the Institute, to keep alumni informed, and create a network enabling them to remain engaged with their alma mater and help shape its future through the Association’s programmes and services.
