The men's hostel accommodates up to 400 men in a separate mess, common room, etc. Considerable stress is laid on a clean and healthy environment. The hostel provides hygienic and quality food to suit diverse tastes and preferences. A comfortable mess hall has also been provided. The hostel rooms are provided with a table, chairs, cupboards, beds, a common bath, and hot water facilities. The other common facilities include the availability of telephones and television.

The College medical inspection room is available with 5 beds on the campus for the students with a resident doctor, a visiting doctor, and staff nurses. When necessary, the members are referred and treated at Meenakshi Medical Hospital at Maduravoil and are retainers for the college.

The college has Physical fitness centers (gymnasiums) with all kinds of equipment like a treadmill, CrossFit, dumbbells, and heavy weight lifting for both boys and girls. 

The College's central library of SMIT is situated in a separate block with a total area of 990 sq m. The Library has a collection of 48303 books, 10996 titles, 3374 CD-ROMs, 96 National Journals, 95 International Journals, an Internet browsing facility, Lending, Reference, and Reprographic facilities, and study halls with a capacity for 150 students. The library is fully automated with AUTOLIB software and has ample desktop computers to access e-journals & e-books. The library has also digital resources facilities for students and staff, such as ASCE, ASME, DELNET & IEEE online journals—program-wise abstract of various books, journals, and e-resources available in the Library.

College sports and games are an area much sought after by the college student community. Playgrounds, a 400-meter athletic track, a swimming pool, and equipment for outdoor and indoor games facilities are available to meet the enthusiasm of such students and faculty.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure for the students.

There is a canteen for the benefit of students, staff, and visitors, providing food at a subsidized rate. Apart from this, a fast food center, which is a part of the canteen.
