St Joseph's Institute of Technology, Chennai Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has hostel facilities for boys. Exclusively, two blocks are provided for the boys. The boys' hostel is of 1,71,000 sq.ft and has 244 rooms spread over three floors. Water heaters will be switched on from October to February. Laundromat facility is provided to all hostlers. Newspapers are provided to each individual room. Intercom faculty to all rooms is enabled thereby parents can directly get connected to their ward’s room. Outing for hostlers is provided, once a month. A separate hostel block is provided for UG first-year students.

The college has a separate hostel for girls. Exclusively, two blocks are provided for girls. The girls' hostel is of 1,23,000 sq.ft and has 164 rooms spread over three floors. Water heaters will be switched on from October to February. Laundromat facility is provided to all hostlers. Newspapers are provided to each individual room. Intercom faculty to all rooms is enabled thereby parents can directly get connected to their ward’s room. Outing for hostlers is provided, once a month. A separate hostel block is provided for UG first-year students.

The college provides exceptional medical facilities with a certified doctor-on-call. It also provides a separate sick bay for girls. Special food is provided accordingly to the students who are unwell.

Basic gym: Basic gym mainly designed for beginners with sufficient weight training equipment and dumbles and well-trained trainers will teach the exercises which are prescribed by Physiotherapist. Advanced gym:: This gym designed for sportsman, bodybuilders and who are well trained in the basic gym, all the equipment are imported and hydraulic coaches and the physio will teach the exercises and train the sports peoples. Women's gym: We are focusing on women's' health that's why we have created a special gym for women. This gym is mainly for weight loss, general fitness, and strengthening. All the exercises and routine are monitored by Physiotherapist.

All the students are trained by professionals, who assist them in reaching their goals. An exceptional gym and other training facilities are also provided.

The college has excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college excels in a whole slew of things. However, food tops the chart. The students can choose between an assortment of vegetarian and the non-vegetarian menu. This delectable food is prepared in separate chambers for veg and non-veg, in entirely hygienic surroundings. Thanks to our Director, whose strong belief holds that eating healthy helps in thinking healthy.

The College having an indoor auditorium with a fully inbuilt sound system and lighting. This auditorium is used for all important college events such as convocation, college day etc. During normal days, it can be used by the students to play indoor games like badminton and table-tennis.

The college provides exceptional transport facility to the students and staff. Buses are available for all routes in the Chennai city and the suburbs. The buses are equipped with a speed governor and first aid facilities. To prevent accidents and latecomers to the college, private vehicles and two-wheelers are not permitted inside the college premises. All services and repairs of the buses are done in the workshop inside the campus, along with which, the bodybuilding facilities are also available. In addition to that, the diesel bunk inside the campus supplies diesel for all the buses. The Buses are well and properly maintained in good condition and we provide buses to all the nook and corner of the city as well as out of the city. And there is a total of 19 buses in the college.

The college has a departmental based laboratories facility for the students.

Indian Bank Indian bank extension counter is available in the campus. The bank account is compulsory for all the students in the hostels. This makes it easy for students and staff to process their financial transactions. 24hr ATM facility is also available inside the campus.

The college has a guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
