Surya Polytechnic College, Villupuram Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a hostel, located within the college campus, which consists of one block for boys. It is a residential hostel for full-time graduate and postgraduate students admitted to the Surya group of the institution. All community areas, like the dining room, common room, recreation room, washroom, etc., are provided separately for boys. The Hostel Committee, under the Chairmanship of the Dean, frames the rules and regulations of the Hostel from time to time and is the final authority in matters concerning the management of the hostels.

The college has a Main Library and 7 Departmental Libraries that collectively support the teaching, research, and extension programs. The Library is fully automated and has a huge collection of books on Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Mathematics. The college library functions to provide services to its members to promote educational excellence in the Surya group of institutions.

The college has sports facilities for all students. The staff and para-teaching staff supported and encouraged the students at every level of their interests. Outdoor Sports activities: Cricket, volleyball, basketball, athletics, and shuttlecock. Indoor Sports activities: Chess, Carrom, Table Tennis.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college is equipped with a fully functional mess to serve hygienically prepared food to the staff and students. It is run by the Management under the guidance of the Principal and Mess Manager. A separate wing for both boys and girls has been provided, which can accommodate a strength of 500 each. Vegetarian, as well as non-vegetarian, food is served in the hostel. Mess charges are collected on an annual basis at the time of admission. Parents and guests are allowed to consume food without paying for it.

The college has an Excellent transport facility available from Villupuram, Pondicherry, Tindivanam, Marakkanam, Kootroad, Cuddalore, Gingee, Vetavallam, Thirukovilur, Vadalur, Neyveli, Township, and Ulundurpet to our college during working days.

The college has many well-equipped laboratories: Electronic Engineering Laboratory, Electric Circuit Laboratory, Electron Devices and Circuit Laboratory, Digital Electronic Laboratory, Laboratory Radio, Frequency Laboratory, Optical Fiber Laboratory, and Microwave Engineering Laboratory.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has a huge indoor auditorium with a professionally deployed acoustic system and a seating capacity of about 200 people. This auditorium takes immense pride in hosting several national-level seminars. Moreover, the auditorium is equipped with a pleasing acoustic system and a seating capacity of about 200 people to host campus-level events.
