Good, well maintained and time to time repair ing if anything gets out of use,in terms of infrastructure it is very good and there are lot of branches you can take admission in any of the courses, well equipped
Wonderful performance, well educated teachers and supportive staff, all teachers are qualified and keep motivating students to study and good exposure of labs and teachers also help in performing experiments
Good 7-8 lakh placement usually ,in computer science, electronic and communication are highly paid branches bit there is a great scope in other branches as well like mechanical engineering and civil engineering highly suggestable college if you want placement
As it is a government aided college fees are not very high but comparatively education they provide is high
Amazing, explore of everything is available, lot of people are there
Well maintained and highly suggestable to take admission over here
UIET have decent infrastructure for academics but didn't say the same about co-curriculam stuff. Just a basketball ground but has enough space to built auditorium, or other sports facility.Through the same is not much of concern because one can enjoy these facility through Panjab University. Wifi is fast , mess food is fine. Hostel isn't available for every one.Only Top 10-20 student of every branch get the same in 1st year.
Tech branches study curriculam is much more updated and co-relevant than core branches(as per the common notion), Teaching quality is fine but can be improve to much more extent.Practical labs have decent and well maintained equipment.
Great for Tech branches, can be significantly improved for core branches. Core branch student tends to go for Gate/other similar exam including CAT mostly and few continue to aspire as Tech engineer(these are relativaly more happier at the end of 4 year.) Tech branches student get placed closed to 95 percent with highest package of 45 lac and average 7-8 lakh, For core branches 70percent , 18lakh, 4-5 lakh. Student pursuing Biotech are the most ignored in this aspect.
96k tution fee, 5k exam fee, 11k hostel fee and roughly around 40k mess charges lead to around 180k expenditure per year. That is little more than the expected. This amount can grew even higher is you live in PGs or flat.
Panjab University is spread in sector 15(North) and in sector 25(South).Campus life is fully lived in the north campus particularly for hostelors. AC joshi,Gandhi Bhawan, STUC, Rose Garden , PU ground are the highlight. No restriction for girls in term of hostel timing.
Great and best for student who didn't make to top NIT or IIIT aliter option for NE NITs and newer Iiits. One of the Best college for student ranking 30k-80k in general category without any kind of quota.
very well planned beautiful infrastructure consists of 2 blocks . various facilities are available 1. college library as well as ac joshi library of panjab university are available . wifi with 50 mbps speed.
the curriculum is well designed and oriented in such a way to prepare its student industry ready. the falulty is well experienced and holds a doctorate from prominent repututable instituitions of hte world .
the placement records are satisfactory for cse/it/ece student , about 90%students are placed with decent packages . many good companies like microsoft , amazon, tcs, infosys , goldman sachs ,mahindra and mahindra etc.
96000 is the annual fee of 2020 is included of examination fee as well. it can vary every year but it doesnt vary much. fee is worth paying as teachers are highly experienced and there teaching content are unique.
Hostels belong to the university and are scattered all over the south campus and north campus of the university. They are providing many nearby facilities and enjoyment within the university. Wi-Fi is great with great speed and unlimited access. Food depends upon hostel messes as each hostel has a separate mess. Students can eat anywhere, but overall the food is of good quality and balanced in nature. Every hostel has a canteen and other options are also available within the university.
Our college has faculty members from top institutions including IITs, NITs and top foreign universities. They are highly qualified in their field and have multiple publications on their names. They can help in guiding and solving your doubts, and they have a decent teaching quality. UIET also has a DIC (Design Innovation Centre) funded by MHRD as a national initiative where multiple projects are running under them for government and non-government organisations.
In UIET Chandigarh, The highest placements rate has been seen in CS/IT branch in the 2021 batch with almost above 85% of the students getting placed in various types of service-based and product-based companies which mostly include product-based companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, American Express, Samsung, Optum, ZS Scale, Zs associates, ProcDNA, Deloitte, Jungleworks, Click Labs, etc.
my college costs almost 1.2-1.5 lakh /year also it has a facility for Economically weaker section of the society in which the college exempt full tuition fees of yours. yes, the college is totally worth it for what it is giving to us.
campus life is overall good, it has almost every facility that you need.
good college to go with also value for money.
It has fairly good resources except for heavy and expensive machines there a bummer. Cleanliness is really well maintained. Fairly hygenic. I have a great day and I will be like that and it's a great place.
I'm studying mechanical engineering. Quality of teaching is like any other college and experience varies from teacher to teacher. No syllabus need a quick update it is way outdated . Study does make you job ready.
They are fine sure to club dedicated to it. Around 20% were placed in my branch for core subjects. Highest was 40 cr by cse. AVG is 4 lakh.i to the same same time as well as the registered player whether the use of the year and I will be.
Being a govt college it is cheap. Around 1 lpa. It is worth it coz in India education is really expensive.
People are still helpful and senior juniors interacting is pure bliss
It's good college for life.
Very well planed beautiful infrastructure consist of 2 block. Various facilities are available: 1. College Library as well as A.C joshi Library of Panjab University are available. 2. Various lab like Computer lab for specified field, chemical lab, lecture halls , Appiled Science labs , Robotics lab. 3. Beautiful canteen with tasty and healthy food. 4. Playgrounds , wifi with 50 Mbps speed.
The curriculum is well designed and oriented in such a way to prepare its students industry ready. The faculty is well experienced and holds a doctorate from prominent institutions of the world. The teaching method of faculty is well like a school you won't feel that college like teaching that teacher is going on continuously like a parrot and sharing the PPT at the end.
The placement record are very satisfactory for CSE/IT/ECE student ,about 90+ percent students are placed with decent packages. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, Deloitte, Goldman sachs, Adobe, TCS, Infosys (mass recruiting), Eicher Motors, TATA, Mahindra and Mahindra, etc, are comes in the college. For mech/biotechnology/EEE placement record less then 40%.
₹96000(Annual fee in 2020) included examination fee also ,it vary every year. Fee are worthy because teachers are highly experienced and there content are unique, facilities are quite good, workshop are very worthy and overall an fee of B.E/BTech course are quite similar for all colleges.
There is more than 78 department at Panjab University and one of them is UIET. More than 20 thousand students are enrolled on the campus. There are many fests organized by the various departments and clubs of the University with the footfall of more than one lakh people. As Chandigarh is known as city beautiful, life at the campus and city are outstanding and happening. Most of the sports facilities are available from cricket, hockey, football, tennis, badminton, swimming etc.
Overall college are full of excitement and enjoyment, it will provide you a great exposure and This college one of the 74 department of Panjab University which is oldest and well known University, with 550 acre full of greenery.
Not so good infrastructure. Being a government college, not enough spent on infrastructure. Chairs are broken, fans are not working and water coolers have hot water. There were times where we struggled for good environment.
Academics is pretty good given it's a government college. We have 100% placements in our IT department. Our curriculum matches the level of IITs and gets updated every year. Teachers had good hold over the concepts they are supposed to teach .
Placements are 100% in our IT and CSE department . Average package is around 6 Lakhs per annum for both the computer science branches. Although other branches placements are not so good and ranges from 30-50% of total occupancy.
It was nice college. I made lots of memories over there. It was very learning experience over there. Wi-Fi and infrastructure was okish. Teachers were very supportive. Placements were good for IT and CSE.
I have completed my Bachelors in Information Technology. The Teaching was good. Yes I degree which I have taken from Panjab University for enough to make one ready for the job. My experience there was good.
The quality of placements is superb. Everyone there got place. Cse and It only gets thr placement. All other branches are bad in placement. College is good. teachers are good so placements are good. Placements are better these days.
The infrastructure of uiet chandigarh is average at all. IT is situated in south region of panjab university.it has well equipped labs following are ITE labs embedded system lab, wireless communication lab c/c++ ,multimedia lab,os lab,se lab in uiet. There are two academic blocks of uiet chandigarh. and a seperate mechanical block also it has a seperate building where workshops are held. there is also a canteen a nescafe beside campus. also have a ground and atm too.
i study B.E. in cse here the faculty is well knowledgable and experianced. They support you in every aspect of curriculam. The quality of teaching is also very good. various researchs keep ongoing. They study material is updated and in cope with IITs. Simply to say it is job oriented.
The Placements are improving year by year. recently in 2019 the highest package gone is 40LPA from microsoft. Also amazon visited the campus and gave 30 LPA package to two students.Big tech comapnies visits here. The Training and placement commitie is well supporting and helps you in getting placed.
Almost the college fees goes upto 1 lakh per year.low as compared to other colleges and abcourse it is value for money
campus life is Awesome at all. there is big pu campus to walk around. various fests are held at pu in a year. also uiet chandigarh helds its own cultural fest goonj. And there are various activities kept ongoing. there are vaious commities and clubs in which you can take part to be productive.
Overall the college is best. And a good choice after PEC Chandigarh.
The college's infrastructure is not very good, the labs are good they have all the equipments students would need, but ventilation, seating is not as good as it can be, power backup is only in the labs, wifi is available in the campus and is very good, library is also good, students can find almost all books they need for their course, the campus has good sports facilities, hostels are good (girls hostel are very good) food is also good and healthy (relatively better than other hostels)
I am pursuing B.E. Biotechnology because I was interested in field of RnD and in Biological Sciences bit didn't want to do MBBS, BDS or simply BSc I wanted to do something different, the faculty in my course is very good and helpful. Our curriculum is up-to-date and adequate for graduate level, these study makes me ready for higher education because in my field 80% of students end up doing post grad and phd because it's a RnD field, but off campus interships and jobs are also very approachable.
In my course(Biotech) placements are not very good for core companies but generally for other courses like cse,it,eee, ece the placements are good average goes around 7 lakhs and the highest was 20 lakhs for cse and it students, the training and placement cell is run by students it's comfortable and pleasant. In recent years companies like Amazon, Google, microsoft, samsung, airtel, etc offering packages around 10 to 20 lakh. 60-70% for cse,it,eee, ece but less than 20-30% for mech and biotech.
The B.E. course costs around 80,000 per year with is relatively less than other top 50 colleges in nirf list. According to the facilities and faulty the fees seem appropriate if they college improves it's infrastructure then then fees would be justified.
The University campus is very beautiful, it very popular sopt in the city, the campus is divided into two parts and UIET lies in the part which has very less beauty and places to see but the other half is very good. Students are nice, no senior indulges in ragging and are generally very helpful but the political student parties are the one which create nuisance during the election time, teachers and staff are helpful, location is near emergency services. Police guard the campus at all times.
