UIET Chandigarh Reviews on Infrastructure, Campus, Placement, Facilities & Faculty

The college's infrastructure is not very good, the labs are good they have all the equipments students would need, but ventilation, seating is not as good as it can be, power backup is only in the labs, wifi is available in the campus and is very good,library is also good,students can find almost all books they need for their course, the campus has good sports facilities, hostels are good (girls hostel are very good) food is also good and healthy (relatively better than other hostels)

I am pursuing B.E. Biotechnology because I was interested in field of RnD and in Biological Sciences bit didn't want to do MBBS, BDS or simply BSc I wanted to do something different,the faculty in my course is very good and helpful. Our curriculum is up-to-date and adequate for graduate level, these study makes me ready for higher education because in my field 80% of students end up doing post grad and phd because it's a RnD field, but off campus interships and jobs are also very approachable.

In my course(Biotech) placements are not very good for core companies but generally for other courses like cse,it,eee,ece the placements are good average goes around 7 lakhs and the highest was 20 lakhs for cse and it students,the training and placement cell is run by students it's comfortable and pleasant.In recent years companies like Amazon, Google, microsoft, samsung, airtel, etc offering packages around 10 to 20 lakh. 60-70% for cse,it,eee,ece but less than 20-30% for mech and biotech.

The B.E. course costs around 80,000 per year with is relatively less than other top 50 colleges in nirf list. According to the facilities and faulty the fees seem appropriate if they college improves it's infrastructure then then fees would be justified.

The University campus is very beautiful, it very popular sopt in the city, the campus is divided into two parts and UIET lies in the part which has very less beauty and places to see but the other half is very good. Students are nice, no senior indulges in ragging and are generally very helpful but the political student parties are the one which create nuisance during the election time, teachers and staff are helpful, location is near emergency services. Police guard the campus at all times.

UIET is in the southern campus of Panjab University, sector 25, Chandigarh. it has two academic blocks which include labs, offices, libraries, and lecture halls. there are blocks for mechanical labs and workshops. there is an atm. wifi and internet access is provided in the whole campus. students are from all over the nation; few are day scholars and many live in hostels that provide accommodation, food, washrooms, and sporting facilities.

UIER offers four - year bachelor of engineering (B.E) and master of engineering (M.E) courses are offered in various engineering fields as well as full time Ph.d courses. Admissions to undergraduate courses are made through the JEE (main) rank. Admission to master oof Engineering courses are made through the Gradute Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examinations . Admissions to Ph.d courses are made through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examinations

90% of students of CSE and IT got placed but there are lower chances of placements for core branches .the average annual package of 2019 is 7 lakhs. the highest package was offered in 2019 was 41 lakhs to two students.

around 60k per semester fees. it increases every year making it a bit expensive than the facilities provided by the college to the students. you need to fill examination fees per semester which is around 3k.

gender ratio mechanical - very low, biotechnology - extremely high, EEE and ECE - average, IT and CSE - Fairly good college has a good collection of clubs ranging from organizing committee like BPC to photography club IMAGEN respectively. there are political parties in the college due to the influence of the north campus of Panjab university.

Infrastructure is not much satisfactory . Library and classrooms are fine but canteen area needs better infrastructure . Hostels are clean and well maintained , it has good infrastructure and proper hygiene is maintained there.

I am pursuing by computer science and engineering . Teachers here take their subjects really seriously . They'll take lectures throughtout the session , although you won't have much attendance issues .

U can't really rely on this college for your placements . You need to look for outside campus placements too. Most of the placements are from CSE branch and then comes IT . The highest package offered has been 16 LPA and average been 6 LPA as of 2019.

Fee is around 55k per semester and around 1.1 lacks per annum ( not availing hostel )

If you are looking for a good campus , then sorry my friend UIET won't help you in this . It doesn't have a good campus .

Seniors are very friendly here .

College has an average infrastructure. Labs are available for practical work and research work . Availability of hostels is big problem canteen is good. Food available is clean and hygienic. Hostels are alloted according to rank.

As of faculty , they are no different from faculties of other government colleges. They are well qualified but their behaviour is as usual as you expect from other. Curriculum of courses is not up to date.

Placements of counter science and information technology branch is fairly good. Various companies that visit CPUs for placements are Infosys, delloite, zscaler, aricent, Gemini solutions etc. Average package for cse is around 5-6 lakhs

All the lecture halls are built with smart classes. All the proffessors are PHD literate having best expirience in their fields . Oppurtunity for everyone is there to represent themselves on every platform they want . Students can do research activities in their favourite fields.

Engineering courses , which includes most of the syllabus of GATE exam . Placement cell is there which guides everyone how to get ready for your placement . Also the nature of seniors is very polite and helpful.

A good placement percentage for core branches . Highest placement on campus was 30 lac by company amazon. Average salary offered is different for different brances.Off campus placements are outstanding as of 43 lac and 32 lac offered by microsoft to the student of IT and CSE branch student respectively.

All kind of sport activity stadium are there . Market where we get every essential required. Food area which has good maintainance . Libraries are air conditioned.

One of the best government instution , where you can enjoy your college life as well as gain a lot of knowledge so that you can have a great future.

Campus is small with with just 3 main buildings and a canteen.Classes are clean with projectors but toilets are in worst conditions. No playground and only 1 basketball court. Lab and canteen are average. Hostels are close to campus. A small auditorium but new one in making. WiFi is available. Library has all the academic related books and you have access to Punjab university library as well. Study space for personal work is available.

Syllabus is not modified like in IITs but the teachers do take lectures and projects regularly. Exams are held with 2 minor exams(best of 2)and 1 major exam. Syllabus is kinda same like IITs but not updated regularly.

Average package is 7 lakhs. Students in IT and CSE stream get placed but for other streams the condition is not that good. Major MNCs like Amazon, Samsung, Goldmann sachs, Delloite, Zscaler visit campus. Highest package offered was 30 lakhs on campus in Amazon and 43 lakhs off campus in microsoft. Proper placement cell is setup.

Per semester cost is 50k that's 1lac per year. Facilities can be provided more according to the fees. With 1 lac per year you definately want more facilities than provided.

Campus is small but there is a lot of stuff to do for a student at Uiet, chd. There are more than 8 clubs for dancing (Autonomy), music (euphoria),dramatics(Osmium), Entrepeneurship( Entrepeneurship development cell),debating club (debsoc),magboard, bpc, etc. A lot of events take place in a year for active campus life. Best part of Uiet is its location in chandigarh. It's close to various other colleges and other spots of chd.

You will surely compare it to your nearby college i.e. PEC which is obviously better but Cse or It branch in Uiet is better than low streams in PEC. Choose wisely but remember that college life is all about your friends you make and your ability to self study so don't worry much and choose the stream you wanna do rather than college.....

Yes, My college provides all the necessary infrastructure, laboratories and equipments. Labs are well maintained and cleaned everyday. Wi-Fi facility is available for all the students as well as for teachers. Food is hygenic.

I am studying INformation technology. Many faculties are good in teaching and I like the way they teach. The classes will be conducted regular based on schedule. All the teachers and staff are supportive to students.

Placements is good in your college. Many students are selected in good companies. Average package being offered to the CSE or IT students is approx 6 LPA. Companies like Tata, Capgemeini visited our campus for recruitment.

College course fees is approx 80,000 per year. Also, fees will be increasing per year. Also, some improvements need to be done in labs. Quality of teaching is good.

The college campus is a part of the campus of Panjab University, so one gets to enjoy all the benefits and facilities of PU. There are vast playgrounds for sports and beautiful gardens. The whole campus is covered with Wi-fi facility. Lecture halls need renovation. The hostels are comfortable.

The syllabus is very outdated compared to the current job and industry requirements. Teachers are not updated about the latest research and developments in their respective fields. But the teachers are helpful and fully support the students.

The placements have been quite good in the recent years. Top companies such as Google, Amazon, Deloitte, Airtel, etc. come to the college for placements. Average placement package for B.E. Computer Science and Engineering is around 8 lakh and the highest package goes around 40 lakh.

The course fee is about 1 lakh per year. The fee is less as compared to the facilities provided and the fee of other engineering institutes in the country.

The college is located in the safest location in Chandigarh. The campus has its own police station, fire station, banks, book stores, post office, etc. to cater to the needs of the students. The students societies organize extracurricular activities and various competitions regularly.

UIET is the best engineering institute in Punjab.

1)first of all yes our college have almost all required equipment's and infrastructure but some of them are not in working condition or you need to struggle while working with them 2) In terms of facilities our college have smart board in few LH , Ac are present in only Block 1 rooms(Cse block). tables cleaning freq is very low spefically in block 2

1)quality of teaching is average in uiet. only some teachers do efforts for teaching..while most of the syllabus you need to complete by your own. 2)syllabus is good but not suffient ,from job point of view you need to do extra effort

placement Quality is good in our college but only for CSE and IT branches . very few hardware companies arrive at college so rest branches students have to go off-campus for placement or prepare for IT companies as well with their course side by side.

Lecture hall, classes with proper facilities, labs, library are very good. In campus wifi is superb. Green and clean environment with no pollution. Chandigarh is one of the most beautiful which people dream of to live.

Academics are good here with proper curriculum and well qualified teachers. Almost every teacher is holding Phd in his/her descipline. Syllabus is set as per new trends and norms followed in IITs and as per UGC guidelines

Placement cell is very active and placements are provided by various multinational companies. Everyyear Student of UIET get placement offers from companies like amazon, delloite, etc. Moreover students ranks best in academics as well as tech competitions organized by various companies which also provide train as well as job offers to these students

As compared to other government colleges it is comparable in this standard as in my personal opinion fees is increasing every semester and study is getting costly. But teaching standards as well as way of teaching is also improving.

Campus life is superb here. proper living places well as recreational facilities, Panjab University campus is very beautiful and Student dream of having this campus life. Over the years fests, star nights are organised here.

College life is fun here. Students studying here get a lot facilities and their overall development happens. Here people come from all over india to learn and this campus welcomes them with love and affection.
