Admission in MBA in Vinod Gupta school of management IIT Kharagpur is done on the basis of cat score if you are a BCOM candidate then you too can apply for this , for that firstly you need to have a shined percentile in CAT, and your overall admission will be done on the basis of your 10th marks , 12th marks , graduation marks and cat score and your interview also.

IIM KASHIPUR has been ranked 24 while VGSOM IIT Kharagpur has been ranked 26.

For IIM Kashipur these are the followimg details:

Cutoff- CAT : Percentile 95 Out of 100
Highest Package-21.78 Lakh

For vgsom IIT kharagpur these are the following details:

Course Fees-7.18 Lakh
Seats-160 Seats
Highest Package-23lakhs
cutoff- percentile 96 out of 100

Since you do not anu personal inclination, It is preferred to opt for IIM kashipura as it has better rankings and equivalent packages and in campus fascilities as compared to VGSOM. The final call is your.

Hi there,I have scored 93.58 in CAT.Is there any possibility of me making it to VGSOM?

Well, the cut-off is 90 percentile. VGSoM emphasizes on work-ex and the past acads too. So, the better such external parameters you have the better the chances of a call at the earlier 90s. However, 93–94 is a safe side. I know people making the convert just at the cutoff.
You can refer to their website for a better clarification on the composite score calculation.

I am an a GEM with 10/12/grad as 95/84/80 respectively a fresher .what percentile is needed to get a call from iit kgp mba

CAT scores mpre than 90 percentile is enough for getting call from IiT KHARAGPUR.

You also bave excellent academic scores an dhence good chances if sxores above 95 on safe side.

With GMAT score what is the cutoff.

Hi Eswaraditya,

Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) accepts the scores of CAT for domestic students and GMAT for international students for its admission process.

As mentioned on the official website, overseas category candidates need to obtain a total scaled score of at least 750 in GMAT in order to be eligible for the admission process at VGSoM. The shortlisted candidates who qualify the GMAT score will be called for PI and WAT rounds.

I'm not an engineer and have an overall percentile of 95.41. Do I stand a chance of getting a call from VGSOM or other IIT B-schools?

A non engineer can't get admission in vinod gupta school of management studies,iit roorkee. Aperson needs to be an engineer for admission for this course in this particular college. You can apply for other IITs for MBA as you have a strong possibility of getting admission in those with that percentile. Congratulations anyway and all the very best!

DOES VGSOM TAKE STUDENTS WITH NON-ENGG. BACKGROUND?

Vinod gupta school of management, indian insitute of technology, kharagpur does not take students from non-engineer backgrounds. It is necessary for the applicant to be an engineer to get admitted into this particular college for MBA.

What is minimum cgpa, for general category

For institutes a) awarding degree based on aggregate marks secured in all years of the qualifying degree OR b) awarding degree based on aggregate marks secured in the final two semesters or final year of the qualifying degree:
GE/NC-OBC: Minimum of 60% marks (OR CGPA of 6.5 on a 10 point scale)
SC/ST/PwD: Minimum of 55% marks (OR CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale)
For both the above cases, if the CGPA is on a different scale than 10.0, the eligibility of the candidates will be calculated corresponding to the equivalence stated above.

I scored 87.96 percentile in CAT. I am having 38 months work Experience in IT sector. Do I have any chance to get a call?

VGSoM IIT KHARAGPUR has a minimum CAT cutoff of 90 percentile for general category candidates, 80 percentile for NC OBC, and 75 for SC, ST and PD candidates. You can access your chances accordingly.
