Coming to your question I would like to tell that choose of branch is always necessary than the college you should choose the branch in which you have the area of the interest because you are going to study this for all you upcoming 4 years , 

But according toyoyr question I would like to go for the cse branch in the uiet , as this course is in the demand and you are getting this in a good college ,

UIET Kurukshetra has better placement records. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 13 LPA, which is so good. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Many companies visits the institute for recruiting the students. Many top companies also visit the college's campus for placements. The infrastructure of the college is also good. Wi-Fi facility is also available for students. The hostel facilities are not good. Labs are well maintained. Teachers in the college are very helpful and well-qualified. They also have very good knowledge about their subjects.

Closing ranks for UIET KUK in CSE was 86950 in All India, General Category and 123528 OBC Rank but only for Home State. Which means that getting CSE in UIET KUK is a little difficult for you.

Closing ranks for DCRUST was 63607 in All India, Gen Category and 76274 in OBC Home State. Unfortunately, CSE in both of the colleges might not be possible

You can get Dcrust MURTHAL mechanical branch with 56200 rank approx I.e. equal to 104 mark or above. As you are talking about Mechanical,so you can apply it in 1st or 2nd round of counceliing without any problem.

see Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University Of Science And Technology is a technical university, basically the candidates from tech background first opt for campus placement , so the college selection is most important, however if your choice is only for competitive exam like upsc IAS, ssc cgl etc once completing your bachelors , you should study in nearest college, it would save your transportation time and you can utilize the time for extra studies or building aptitude, gk power.
