I scored 85 percentile in jee mains. Can I get into iiest with any branch apart from mining and I am OK with 7 round of counselling as well.

If you belong to open category then I am sorry to say that you cannot get into iiest as atleast you need to have a rank of 30k and around to get in with the least preferred branch . But seeing your percentile it seems that your rank would be

Hi Sandip,

You will definitely get NITs, IIITs but may get IIEST as their cut off are low. In JOSAA we many times don't get branches we choose but in CSAB there are still chances because many seats are vacant in this round. Just carefully set your priorities in college

the IIEST - INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING SCIENCE AND TECHOLOGY

the admission procedure in this institute is only thorough the JEE-MAIN merit list

the institute is not going to take admission through the JEE-ADVANCE RANKS

so the IIEST never take students in the UG-courses by the ADVANCE

Sorry if you have got 51k rank in OBC category then you can't be able to get admission in Indian institute of science and engineering technology. You need to score atleast 12 k rank in OBC category for iiest shibpur.

College Infrastructure

I find the campus historical and beautiful, but the buildings are visibly very old and need modernization. My Electronics and Telecommunication labs have basic equipment, but I look forward to better instruments in later years. The library resources are vast and excellent for my studies. I know the infrastructure is average, but the heritage value is high.

College Infrastructure

It has moderate infrastructure not too good like other nits, like the spirit of Kolkata it is having old vibes as well as new developments. Classes of electrical are fully equipped with ACs and fans, green board and projector also. Machine Lab will give you old vibe, it has machines of 100 years old and all functional, well maintained. While the electronic labs are new(Not that old of machine lab). Sports : All the sports can be available in a college is there. hostels are fully equipped with wifi, washing machine, both type of washrooms and well maintained. Library is of both type E-library and normal library both comprised in single building. There is computer center is also in that building for online exams. and all the rooms in library is fully AC equipped. Not all books but all the books which are required for academic is there.
