Hello aspirant,

The IIT Bombay cutoff for JEE Advanced is the minimum score needed by applicants to be admitted to the institution's various B.Tech programmes.

It should be remembered that each course and candidate category receives a different JEE Advanced cutoff from the authorities. The JEE Advanced will take into account a number of parameters, including the number of seats, the number of candidates, the difficulty level of the exam, etc. to determine the IIT Bombay cutoff for JEE Advanced. Candidates that score higher than the cutoff will have a better chance of being accepted. For the final seat allocation, the candidates must nevertheless satisfy all other eligibility requirements.

To know cutoff list you can visit our site by clicking on link given below.

Thank you

Hope this information helps you.

Good day, aspirant

For the top 5 IITs, brand value is undoubtedly higher. IITs are regarded as being considerably superior to other institutions for research because the Indian government generously supports IITs. Both IITB and Bits Pilani have identical placement statistics, and each year they both surpass their previous records. Personally, I would choose IITB over Bits because it is currently one of India's top engineering institutions.

Hope this helps you

If your family income is less than 1 lakh, then you will get a 100% waiver in tuition fees (which is 1 lakh rupees), and if your family income is between 1 to 5 lakh, then you will be reimburses 2/3rd of your tuition fee.

However, in any case you will have to give hostel and mess fees which is as follows:

Mess Caution Money (One Time, Refundable): Rs.1,000

Hostel Seat Rent (per Semester): Rs.2,000

Electricity & Water charges (per Semester): Rs.3,000

Other fees (per Semester): Rs.6,050

Mess Advance (per Semester): Rs.22,000

Total (Hostel and Mess combined): Rs.34,050

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!

Hello Vivek,

See there is no percentage criteria to appear for JEE-Main but it is required for admission to NITs/IIITs/GFTIs and as per current criteria the 75% criteria has been waived off and now you only need to pass in class 12th so as you have passed in class 12th so you are definitely eligible for admission as well as for JEE-Main and if you qualify JEE-Main then you can definitely appear for JEE-Advance through which you can get admission in IIT Bombay or any other IITs depending upon your JEE-Advance rank but note that  there are some criterion which you need to satisfy in order to appear for JEE-Main so let us discuss them.

JEE-Main eligibility criteria is mentioned below :-

1--- Age criteria :- There is no age limit to appear in JEE-Main but note that there might be the age limit in any particular institution taking admission through JEE-Main score, so you should keep this thing in mind.

2--- Qualifying Examination :- To be eligible for JEE-Main one should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject from any of the recognized central or state board.

3--- Year of qualification :- For JEE-Main 2022 only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022; or those who will be appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2022, would be eligible to appear.

So if you follow all above criterion then you are definitely eligible for JEE-Main.

Good Luck!!

See, preparatory courses are offered to those student who the IITs think that if we invest an year on these students, then these students may perform very well if they are admitted in the normal B.Tech programmes offered by the various IITs. So, if you have been selected by IIT Bombay in the preparatory course, then you'll have to do your course from IIT Bombay itself, and not IIT Gandhinagar.

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!

Hello student,

First of all, it's the first choice of individual student to go for their topic of interest if we have got the respective rank, according to their interest. On the other hand, each of the the colleges have some streams which have a better performance as compared to the counterparts. So, from the last few years, it's been a common trend that toppers generally opt for IITB as their first choice option, but it doesn't make other colleges less important and it's just a matter of interest.

hello aspirant,

YES, Civil Engineers are eligible for Mtech programs like geoinformatics and Natural Resources.

Besides, these programs here are some various M.Tech Programs where Civil Engineers are Eligible :

  • M.Tech in Transportation Engineering.
  • M.Tech in Structural Engineering.
  • M.Tech in Infrastructure Engineering and Management.
  • M.Tech in Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering.
  • M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • M.Tech in Geoinformatics.

I hope that this will help.

Hello candidate!

It completely depends upon your interest and which branch you want to go for. Campus and placement wise, IIT Bombay is older and well-established but in India, scope for Aerospace engineering is not much but it is a very good branch. Computer Science from IT Jodhpur is a great choice too considering there are many opportunities currently in that field. So any IIT you choose according to your interest, you'll get great faculty, campus and job opportunities.

Hope this helps.
