Hello,

The colleges you have mentioned like IIT,Not etc are best so you need a good score to qualify for admission process.

You must have a rank around or less than 3000 in JEE Main for admission to IIT Bombay. For admission to Computer Science, candidates are required to have a rank less than 100 in JEE Main entrance test.

So it's always safe to score above 40 % score in advanced to get a good IIT and a good branch.

In order to secure admission in NITs through JEE Main, the good score for the same can be around 85-95 percentile. At the same time, the candidates must feature among the top 15,000 - 20,000 ranks range to get admission in the top NITs.

WHen I stands for International(IIIT-H and IIIT-B) for IIIT-H you have to apply saparately through their portal. It’s the best college for computers in India. So you can imagine cutoffs! When I stands for Indraprastha(IIIT-D) you need to apply through JAC counselling which is usually held for DTU, NSIT and IIIT-D. It’s also one of the top college! SO again cutoffs are high vary year to year(upto 180–200+).

hope this helps!!!

Good Luck

Hi

No, your 10th marks doesn't matter at all for getting admission in IIT NIT IIIT and bits.

Also,

Your 12th marks matters a little a bit as it helps you in making you eligible for admission in IIT NIT IIIT and bits

For example,

To be eligible for IITs,IIITs ,NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category or or at least 65% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category. For this year i. e 2021 this minimum percentage requirement of 75% - 65 % has been lifted off.

So,  if you have 75% in your 12th board examination and belongs to general category then you don't need to worry at all as you are eligible for admission in IIT NIT IIIT. If you are going to take admission in 2021 i. e this year then you don't even need to have 75% , you just must have passed 12th board examination as this minimum percentage barrier has been lifted off for this year.

Coming to BITs,

To be eligible,

you should be either appearing for 12th board examination 2021 or should have passed it in 2020 with PCM i. e physics chemistry and mathematics  (or PCB i. e physics ,chemistry and biology in case of students applying for B Pharma, PCM candidates are also eligible for B Pharma)

=) You should have got at least 75% marks in aggregate of physics chemistry  and mathematics ( if you have taken mathematics for your BITSAT examination)

or

at least 75% marks in aggregate of physics chemistry  and biology( if you have taken biology for your BITSAT examination)

=) you must have got at least 60% marks individually in each of physics, chemistry  Maths/ biology

You can check detailed information regarding eligibility at

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/bitsat-eligibility-criteria/amp

So, 10th marks doesn't matter at all ,while 12th marks is required to make you eligible  but admission is completely based on the rank obtained by you in entrance examination that  is

  • JEE advanced in case of IIT
  • JEE main in case of IIIt, nit
  • and BITSAT in case of bits

Thank you

Dear student,

Yes, you can leave the college, you need to contact the authorities and carry out the procedure to leave the college after which you can join ahri chaitanya and prepare for jee to get into iit's/nit's/iiit/gfti. Make sure you take back all your certificates. A student has the rights to take admission in a college that he/she wants to, no college can stop you from leaving their college, so go ahead and all the best for your preparation.

Hello Aspirant,

If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your rank is expected to be in the range of 8949 - 7004, you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

As we go through the latest cut-off of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows if the NITs which you can get for CSE are enlisted below :-

  • Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar
  • National Institute of Technology Agartala
  • National Institute of Technology Durgapur
  • National Institute of Technology Goa
  • National Institute of Technology Hamirpur
  • National Institute of Technology Meghalaya
  • National Institute of Technology Nagaland
  • National Institute of Technology Patna
  • National Institute of Technology Puducherry

And some more. Now if we talk about NIT Warangal then the closing rank for NIT Warangal was 2043 for CSE branch in NIT Warangal under Home state quota for Open category or General category. Now to secure such rank you should have your JEE-Main 2021 score at least 200 marks out of 300 and percentile against this is expected to be in the range of 99.5-100

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

If you are preparing for JEE-Main 2021 or 2022 then I would recommend you to check the resources made by our experts to help aspirants like you in the best and smart preparation of JEE-Main 2021 or 2022 :-

Dear Anjali,

As per previous years records, to qualify JEE MAINS candidate of OBC category must secure atleast 70 percentile to qualify JEE MAINS and to be eligible to write JEE ADVANCED. Also, to get admission in good NITs and IIITs, you must secure a rank between 1 - 40,000 (if you want a most popular branch such as CSE EEE, ECE etc). To know more, just check out the link given below once:

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

Thankyou

Dropping is completely your choice considering your aspirations and confidence in performing better in the next fall.

However, I would suggest you with a Rank where you secure CSE ar Northeast NITs or Newer IIITs, you also do secure Mechanical, Chemical, Production or Metallurgical Engineering at Good NITs, and also at NIT Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh or other NITs nearby like Srinagar, Jalandhar, Kurukshetra, Delhi, Jaipur and PEC Chandigarh.

You may consider taking admission in one of them, considering both Vicinity and Branch, and hence besides continuing with Curriculum you may prepare for Next Year's JEE Exam. Many of my friends did follow this Route and ended up in Good Engineering Colleges like IITs and Top NITs the following Year.
