Hi
hope you doing well
Yes, IIIT Hyderabad conducts its own entrance exam for B.Tech admissions, known as the Undergraduate Engineering Entrance Examination (UGEE). Apart from UGEE, IIIT Hyderabad also offers admissions through other channels like:
JEE Main (for select B.Tech programs)
Special Channel of Admission (SCA) for international candidates or students with extraordinary talents
Last Date to Fill the Admission Form:
The exact dates for UGEE and form submission vary each year. Typically, the application process starts in March and the last date to fill the form is around April. For IIIT Hyderabad UGEE 2025, these are expected timelines:
The official dates will be announced closer to the application window. Make sure to regularly check the official website of IIIT Hyderabad for updated information on the UGEE application dates.

Hi
hope you doing well
It will depend more on your category rank, your chances of getting into NIT Durgapur or other NITs/IIITs with a JEE Mains percentile of 78, it will depend on the specific cutoffs for those institutions in the current admission cycle.
Typically, NITs have varying cutoffs for different branches and categories. For SC candidates, the cutoffs tend to be lower than for the general category, but they can still vary significantly.
As of the most recent admission cycles, the closing ranks for various branches for the SC category were generally around:

Hi
hope you doing well
Your chances of getting admission into IIIT Bhagalpur in either the CSE or ECE branch with a JEE Main rank of 53,457 and OBC-NCL category, are moderate.
IIIT Bhagalpur is a relatively newer IIIT, so the cutoffs are generally lower compared to older IIITs, but CSE and ECE tend to have higher competition.
Being from Bihar, you have an advantage in the home state quota, which can lower the cutoff for you.
Your category also provides some relaxation in the cutoffs compared to the general category.
CSE : This is the most competitive branch. You might be on the borderline depending on how the cutoffs trend this year, but securing CSE could be tough.
ECE : You might have a better chance for ECE as its cutoffs are usually a bit lower than CSE.
I recommend participating in the JoSAA counseling process and keeping an eye on the opening and closing ranks of previous years for IIIT Bhagalpur

Hi
hope you doing well
In Jee mains, while having 80 percentile and belonging to the OBC-NCL category your CRL rank is likely to be around 200,000-250,000 (approximately), and your OBC-NCL rank might be in the range of 50,000-60,000.
In previous years, the cutoffs for CSE in IIIT Raipur for OBC-NCL under the Home State quota have been around 25,000-35,000 OBC ranks, which suggests that with an OBC-NCL rank of 50,000-60,000, it might be difficult to secure CSE.
You may have a chance for other branches or if there is a significant drop in cutoffs during the later rounds of counseling. Keep an eye on the JoSAA counseling rounds for any changes or open spots

Hi
hope you are doing well
I want to tell you that IIIT Bangalore typically has high cutoffs, especially for CSE, as it is one of the more sought-after IIITs so your chances of getting admission to IIIT Bangalore may be limited.
for CSE, cutoff are around of like -JEE Main rank 6,000-7,000.
ECE's cutoff is slightly higher, but still, it usually requires a rank around 10,000-12,000.

Hi

It might be difficult for TOP NIT's and IIIT's with the general rank of 96,000 and an OBC rank of 30,000 in JEE Mains 2024 . However, there are still some good possibilities in less competitive branches or newer campuses. Here are some suggestions:
You might be able to secure branches like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering at these NITs.
some IIIT's you may get are:
Many state government engineering colleges accept JEE Mains scores and might offer a good branch at your rank.
You can also explore institutes like BIT Mesra (off-campus), IIEST Shibpur, or other GFTIs for branches that may not be as competitive.

Hello there,
With
83.56 percentile
in JEE Mains, your
rank may be around 150,000
. As an
OBC-NCL candidate from Maharashtra
, your chances of getting a seat in
NITs/IIITs
through
JoSAA counseling
will primarily depend on the branch and the specific institute.
Best Strategy for NIT/IIIT Admission:
Lower Branches in NITs:
Some NITs with higher cutoffs for popular branches like
CSE
or
ECE
may still offer these less competitive branches to higher-ranked students.
Newer or Less Popular NITs:
IIITs (Newer/Lower Demand):
Flexible Branches:
You may have a good chance of securing a seat in
lower-demand branches
at
newer NITs
or
IIITs
. Fill your choices broadly, targeting branches like
Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgical
, or
Biotechnology
across newer institutes. Ensure to participate in
multiple counseling rounds
for the best outcome.
