If you would go by the placements then definitely iiit kancheepuram has an upper hand in case non core engineering specially cse branch. On the other hand nit Andhra pradesh is a newer nit and the average package stays around 6L and the highest package went on to 13L per annum.

On the other hand, iiit kancheepuram has an average package of 9.5L and highest package in the cse branch went on to 20L per annum.

While if you take top branches in average nits , it would be greatly appreciated. Getting branches like cse,ece ,it are very helpful. You can develop skills in these branches.
