LPU Jalandhar All Questions

This is not because I am pursuing my B. Tech in Computer Science that I would say this but because the advantages of Computer Science is beyond count.

The entire world is revolving around Computer Science. For instance the advent of automated systems and their immense popularity has created a space in Computer Science.

No business nowadays wants to make uninformed decisions nor do they just want the stacks of reports of business dealings to be left unused, therefore this has created humongous demand in field of Data Science in Business.

Finances has been using financial intelligence for decades but it is now that with the proven superiority of Machine Learning the financial modelling has taken the space too.The community patterns, trends in market, response to novel product, brand communication with intelligent feedback system and much more are all the part of computer science.

The online transactions we make and the digital footprint analysis are the new domains. The security of transactions and related to this the ethical hacking to protect the integrity of data are the areas which has immense potential in the future.

Gaming and virtual reality has now been in constant admiration of the large audience across the world, with this domain witnessing increase in its market share.

Since the distance is no longer an issue it is all because of computer science that the devices have been connected over the Internet. The new interesting domain is Internet of Things. With the embedded systems chaining its way through android and IOS applications to the artificial intelligence has been appreciated by the new generation.

I believe the best way to check which university is better is to do a comparitive analysis of both the university on basis of infrastructure, education , placement, extracurricular , career progression . Just merely relying on education and placement will not give you which one is better . Having been a student of LPU over a year now , I can give you some insights in to it ,

Education :University provides world class education and apart from education , Lovely Professional University pays great attention to the comprehensive development of the students. The university targets to create a work force that is industry ready and shall in their way contribute to the country’s progress. Keeping this in mind LPU encourages experiential learning.

Placement:2016 has been proved to be a job-prolific year for the 2017 passing out batch of LPU. Engineering and Management programmes witnessed students receiving handsome packages. B Tech students got Rs 15.5 Lakh package and Management students Rs 7.5 Lakh package. The other noteworthy recruitments of LPU students were done by Voltas International (Dubai/Muscat) offering a package of Rs.11 Lakh per annum; and, P and O Cruise (US & Australia) at Rs 8 LPA. Average salary package availed by LPU students is Rs 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: LPU’s infrastructure is unparalleled to any of the universities in India. It enjoys amazing academic facilities, an eight storied library and research block, hostel and accommodation facilities for over 20,000 students, a shopping mall, numerous eating joints including brands like Domino’s and Café Coffee Day, plenty of workshop area, India’s first IMac Lab and various other facilities for students to grow and accomplish their goals.

Extra-Curricular: LPU supports wide range of extra-curricular activities, ranging from Dance , sports , singing to theatre . College has more 200 clubs that supports innovation in their student’s personality which goes beyond academic.

LPU is best of two since bajaj is known for its mechanical works and had great reputation it but it all belongs mostly to mechanical so if you were interested in mechanicxal then join bajaj or else it is better to opt lpu because it has numerous lecturers vivid range in subjects and time table is also which helps student well

Coming to your question I would like to tell you that , yes lpu is the only private university which is approved by the ICAR ,

All the courses in the lpu for the agriculture are accredited to the ICAR by the national agricultural education board of Indian council of the agricultural research which is the autonomous body responsible for the coordinating the agricultural education and research in India.

Both are the best universities but we  have to choose any one that is LPU .

LPU is very university as for cse department and as well as ECE DEPARTMENTS, it has more than 90% more than placement in cse department. And LPU Hostel is one of the best hostel in India and it has 2  fantastic libraries.

See this is a personal suggestion.I will suggest you to take a year drop and prepare will full dedication.If you want to give JEE or other engineering entrance exam again,then choose a good coaching institute or if you can prepare by self studying,then also it's good.

And if are not willing to take a drop,then only you can take admission in these money minded colleges like lpu,sharda..etc.I will not suggest to you.

Or if you think that you can get admission in one of the good colleges for B.C.A ,so i will suggest you that rather than spending 1 year if you are intersted more towards computer applications,then you can take admission in B.C.A.

So it's now your decision,whether what you wanna do.

Either take a drop or join any private collge or join any good college in BCA.

Good to hear from you. It completely on your interest and financial position. Both colleges are of top-notch. JNTU is state level top college whereas LPU is a nationwide famous college. So, you need to check whether you can afford the expenses in LPU or not. If yes, then choose LPU. If not JNTU is best.

LPU offers scholarships for students while admission to various programmes on the following basis:

• According to the score obtained in LPUNEST:

If the score obtained is more than the category I cut-off, the applicable scholarship is 50% off the programme fee, within the category II cut-off, it is 40% off and within category III cut-off, it is 30% off.

• For engineering programmes on the basis of JEE Mains marks:

If the percentile obtained is more than the category I cut-off ie. percentile more than 95, the applicable scholarship is 50% off the programme fee, within the category II cut-off ie. percentile between 90 - 95, it is 40% off and within category III cut-off ie. percentile between 80 - 90, it is 30% off.

• For management programmes on the basis of CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT score:

If the percentile obtained is more than the category I cut-off ie. CAT/XAT percentile more than 98, the applicable scholarship is 50% off,  within the category II cut-off ie. percentile between 95 - 98, it is 40% off and within category III cut-off ie. percentile between 90 - 95, it is 30% off.
